The service we got and the value for money suited our needs. The hotel in general is in need of a spring clean though, especially the radiators on the common areas. The room we had on the ground floor was very clean, commendable to the housekeepers

Lovely relaxing stay
I had a lovely relaxing stay. Rooms were absolutely spotless as was the rest of the hotel. Staff were lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. I only drink decaff tea and coffee which isnt supplied in the room had to ask at the restaurant for these which is a very minor issue.

This is a great stay if you are travelling up the M1. It’s just off the motorway but away from the noise, with the window open you can hear it in the distance but not a problem with closed windows, which can be an issue if you are closer. Really comfortable bed, friendly staff. And a relaxed quiet feel to the hotel. The only reason I gave staff 4 stars was IHG need to put more than one member of staff on in the evenings. I had to wait 10 mins for the poor guy serving behind the bar to come and check myself and another guest in, with other people waiting with queries. He was left holding the fort. Otherwise, a fab little find!
