This hotel is older and has some charm. Very well maintained and CLEAN. (I was so relieved that it was surprisingly clean for an older hotel.) the pool was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back. Our son is in college in the area and this place was just perfect. Quality at a good price is hard to find, Stratford Inn definitely is the best quality for the best price in the area. Next time we will bring our dog, now that we know it’s a great place for it.

An enjoyable if brief stay
From check in to check out, I had a great experience. The evening/night desk person, Gaia, was not only friendly but helpful at offering directions and suggestions or where to find good food at night within walking distance. The room was comfortable and clean and the morning breakfast was filling, especially the oatmeal with all the fixin's.

Should be called The Soulful Inn
This is a quirky, funky( in a good way), bohemian type hotel in a great location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Super- friendly staff, exceptionally clean room, and a beautiful view of the mountains have caused my spouse and I to fall in love with this place. It has such a great vibe. Soulful and artsy. From the front desk to the cleaning staff we were treated in a friendly and welcoming way. The complimentary breakfast is very simple but adequate if you're looking for a quick morning bite. Cereal, toast, yogurt, hard boiled eggs etc. Nothing fancy. The place was fully decorated for Halloween which to us showed that the owners go out of their way to give this place a non-chain feel, and they succeed. If you're looking for a unique and welcoming stay this is the place. If you're looking for a cookie cutter, corporate chain type experience then this is not the place.

We have stayed at the Stratford Inn many times over the past few years. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. We have a large truck and parking has never been a problem in their ample parking lot.

The room was clean. Front desk clerk, Gaia, was very nice. Appreciated the fridge having an actual freezer. Towels were better than most hotels at that level. Tv did not work and booklet said to call front desk to change HDMI. Maybe housekeeping could check this when cleaning if its so simple. Same with turning off the alarm clock so it doesnt go off at midnight as it did! Super annoying!! Other than that stay was fine.Left too early for "to go" breakfast.

We had a very nice evening at the Stratford Inn and will be glad to stay there again. The front desk was very helpful, the room was spacious and clean and the hotel is close to downtown Ashland. The beds were very comfortable and everything about the room worked as required from the heat to the TV to the shower! It’s a great value in a wonderful town.
