I enjoyed the buzz. We were staying unrelated, while the comedy festival was on. Popular venue. The mezzanine area at the hotel is comfortable and has a bar so it is easy to relax and enjoy a drink or two or a bite to eat. Having the option of Munros restaurant for breakfast or dinner is great too and there are coffee shops close by and great restaurants plus iconic laneways a short walk away. The Victoria’ is reasonably priced with clean comfortable beds and bathrooms. Some attention to cleaner carpets will be dealt with I am sure as this hotel continues to be loved back to life! A easy location to get out and about by foot, tram or taxi. We easily walked to the Princess theatre!

Corridor and room had a musty smell to it, asked 2 housekeeping staff where the pool was , they had no idea. Pool was tiny. 2 people were in there and it was crowded . No information book, rang reception and it rang out. Room was clean and nice bathroom.

Great fast self check in (and out) now, quicker than last time having to wait for one receptionist. Bed super comfortable! Worst part was the noice of rubbish bins being upended into the ones in the street and street noise. Window winders are rusted so you can’t close them properly. Street out the front lined with big skip type rubbish bins. Breakfast too expense, had delicious crepes at Flinders Lane instead. Hot choc sachets would have been nice in the room. No shower cap. Had to wait for others to leave the lift and then as I was leaving the door closed and hit me in the arm, wasn’t pleased with this, should have a better sensor!

The Victoria Hotel is very well placed to explore the City, our only slight issue was the original room was right at the front of the building that's on a noisy road at night, however, we requested a room move and that was facilitated without fuss and very quickly to a much quieter room for the remainder of our stay, great customer service! 👍

We booked a room laughingly called a heritage king room. There was absolutely nothing heritage about this room. It was small and dark with a low ceiling and dingy decoration. The interior of the lifts were scratched and more suited to goods elevators.

I like the location in the heart of the city, Room is good value with plenty of space. The only thing l didn't like was the online check in so no interaction with staff. I also did not like the smell of the room as it smelled of overpowering cleaning products like bleach. Bed was comfortable

Easy access to main shopping areas. Clean room although the room was like being in a shoe box. Small with no way out if there was a fire or earthquake. No view from the tiny window which would be impossible to escape from. These rooms should be offered at a much reduced rate. Probably won't stay there again.

The location was excellent- it would be of benefit to have the local transport explained and some tips and tricks to finding the quickest walking distance between venues. It took 3 days to sort ourselves out.
