Great hotel with a GREAT staff!
We had a friend's trip to Minneapolis! We chose Tru because we had stayed at your hotel in another city & enjoyed our trip. We really enjoyed the hotel-- the bed could've been better. But overall, the staff was great!! Very friendly & anxious to assists when needed! George in the breakfast buffet was AMAZING!!!! He was so helpful & anxious to fulfill our needs & those of others staying there. Anything we needed-- all we had to do was ask! We would stay here again just to see George!!

It took us 1 hr standing in line before we checked in. We ordered valet in the morning. They said it would take 15 minutes for the car to be ready and we could come down at any time to pick it up. We got down there 20 minutes later and the car was not on record for being a vehicle that needed to be picked up from the valet. We had to sit there for another 30 minutes and were 30 minutes late to our appointment because of us.

Check in time is 3, arrived at the property at 3:40 and still had to wait 30 minutes as our room was not ready. The room was still not fully clean even after having us wait. Note there is no microwave in the room.

Worst experience. Do not recommend.
When I checked in for the night, I was met with nothing but rudeness. The lady that was working the front desk that night was not paying any attention when I arrived. In fact, she was playing Candy Crush and messed up my room charge and I ended up paying double than what I was expecting to pay. When I brought this up, she dismissed my concerns and I had to borrow money from a friend to cover the insane amount. I have not been on vacation for months and this is what I have to deal with? The mental anguish from this caused me to feel ill for the rest of my stay and I could not focus on relaxing.

Nice tell but you HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING.
Hotel is quite nice. Breakfast is very good. We were disappointed to learn upon arrival that there was no on site parking. We either had to pay for valet parking at $47 a night or park a few blocks away at $20 a night. There was no validated parking either. This would have been a decision breaker as this was not a cheap hotel. Clarity on this would have been nice. Valet guy was very helpful and apologetic and sympathetic. Check in clerk could have cared less and handed us a post card with parking alternatives.
