Exactly as advertised, a comfortable place to sleep, safe and friendly environment. Perfect for those wanting accommodations to explore the island, not a resort to entertain them.

Exactly what you'd expected
Pictures are a very accurate representation. It's off the beaten path a bit, but worth it for the price. We really enjoyed our stay and loved all the dogs on the property. It was exactly what we needed to explore the island

As advertised
This place is exactly as it’s listed, tiny house. Far off the beaten path as advertised(further than we expected, but very doable) We didn’t even notice the power outage each night. Bed is not at all comfortable... four nights in that bed was to many. Only thing I would change besides the bed is extra blankets/pillows/towels.

Exactly as described
A little off the main path, but affordable and exactly as described. Bed was more comfortable than expected and TV worked great. Hot water was nice and still came during the power outlet shut off. Note you can't use microwave or hair dryer (brought own) from 11-7 which was a bit of a bummer when we left early the last day. No shampoo/conditioner, but everything else we needed.

It is what it says it is! Do not expect more. It is a ladder getting to the bed. Older people or ones with mobility issues need to reconsider.

Very fair for the price. There is a lot of bugs and it can be loud at night with all the wildlife. You will be near the end of Fern Forest which means that there is a lot of time spent on the gravel road driving if you head out/back frequently. The stairs are also quite steep to go from the living room to bedroom.

Good value for the price
If all you need is aplace to sleep, this is it. The proerty is located on a dirt road (which you are on for 2 miles) There is a bed, which was comfortable, toilet, sink, and shower, with a small microwave and smaller refridgerator (think showbox size) There is electricity and WiFi as well. There is a small narrow ladder/staircase to reach the bedroom and the toilet is also located there as well, so no fumbling with going up and down at night.. Volcano National Park is located within 20 minutes and Hilo about 40 minutes. Their water system utilizes reclimated rainwater, so water consveration should be kept in mind when staying there. One morning, there was no water and Kevin was very responsive to the issue and fixed it quickly. We would stay there again.

Remote and quiet value option
Unit was as expected and advertised. I feel I got a bargain. Last 2 miles of access on gravel subdivision road was a bit rough. Not a problem for me, but those not acostumed to drving on pot holed raods with no effective drainage ditches should be prepared. Unit has no dishes, cups or utensils.

Great price lodging exactly as described. host was available whenever needed. We especially enjoyed the hosts son who was there to welcome us in the mornings as we left for out daily adventures. Great place to go to sleep for the night after a day of checking out the big island.

Simple Stay
Small, simple place. The numbered place could be a little more obvious and getting there during the daytime is better. Parking was a little confusing but again would have been easier to see in the daytime. Wall fridge, microwave, shower, bed toilet. Couldn’t figure out how the TV worked but it didn’t really matter for us. Little tiny ants on the sink next to the toilet, but we’re in the middle of a somewhat jungle.

Wonderful quiet stay
We really enjoyed our stay! It is exactly as advertised. There is a bit of a drive down a gravel road but it is in good condition. The gate into the property made us feel safe and we liked the more remote and peaceful location. We expected to be hot at night but we're actually too cold, if anything. There are no mugs for coffee so I would recommend bring travel mugs! There is little privacy in the bathroom -- we wished there was a curtain but it was OK. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

I am on budget so the price is perfect for me. The location is abit out of town but it reminded me the time i was in Costa Rica, felt like the cloud forest. The place is small but has all the essential amenities.

Cabin was as expected. QuInt and clean but a little Puna funky. Checking in was ok until the door didn’t open. I followed instructions and tuned the knob back and reentered the code several time. Ended up poping out the door screen to reach in and open from inside. Other than that the bed was really squeaky with any little turn in the night. But it was clean and as expected for a Puna cabin.

Beautiful location, spartan accommodations but adequate for a comfortable night's sleep. Innovative off the grid utilities. Easy to find despite being off the main highway several miles. Rough road the last couple of miles. We enjoyed the koki frig seranade.

Jungle Glamping
What a great place, with an unbeatable price tag! We found the two story tiny house very clean and labeled very clearly. Communication with the hosts was quick and clear. I will say the downside is the location as you need to take about 1 1/2 mile of rocky dirt road from the nearest paved road. In that lush jungle area are properties with signs like “beware of dog. Dog bites”, “no trespassing”, “we have guns”. Once you make your way to the vrbo property there is an adorable blue gate the hosts give you a code to providing some security.

Small, quiet Cabin
This was a small, quiet cabin getaway that was close to Volcanoes National Park, which was exactly where we wanted to be. We didn't need much, so it was perfect! There is a ladder to get to the bedroom, so be careful if you can't climb a ladder easily. There were instructions inside the cabin about water, electricity, and checkout, so we had everything we needed. If you want a secluded place to relax that doesn't break the budget, this is your place!

Perfect get-away
I was traveling solo and wanted a place within reasonable distance to Volcano Nat'l Park and also exploring this side of the island. It was just as advertised. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. Easy check in. It's off the beaten track for sure - back in the forest - but I had no trouble finding my way with the directions provided.

Perfect private space near Volcano
I'm an older solo traveler on a budget, but wasn't interested in a Hostel/shared space while visiting Volcano national park & southern Hawaii area. This set up was perfect for what I was looking for and fit the bill. Negatives are; The warm water is minimal, and if there is someone renting the tiny house adjacent to yours, the sound does transfer easily between the units. Overall; Everyone was respectful, check in/out was a breeze, it was an enjoyable drive through the jungle to the property, everything was clean and neat, the offerings are great for the price, and would definitely stay again in the future.
