Central location walkable to market area. Our suite had everything we could want. Spacious. Spotless. Our own small terrace. Large bathroom with a wonderful large shower and soaker tub. Plush robes individually wrapped. Free use of mini bar items. All needs were provided when asked from courteous staff. Welcome drink a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.

A nice surprise in Munich. I have been in Munich dozens of times, but never to this hotel. The rooftop terrace is quite nice, and the location of the hotel is just behind the viktualeinmarkt, which makes it convenient for walking around Marienplatz. Not a criticism, but operating the lights in the room was like solving a Rubik’s cube. There are lights along the headboard, the bathroom sink lights up, there is a charging station that just would not stop making its own light show (I had to put a towel over it Lol). It took me a while, but I finally got all those lights to turn off. Whew. Super nice staff. 10/10 would go back, especially now that I know how to turn off the lights. Also, the room had a little balcony—big plus for me.

The room we had DID NOT HAVE ANY A/C OR circulation. They were apologetic but offered a fan and to cover our parking fee. It was HOT! Seemed like a nice hotel, although also seemed most appropriate for men only, having a men's sauna area. As a woman, I felt awkward there. Nevertheless, the restaurant was good, and they provided us with a "welcome" drink and charcuterie board which was fabulous. Was in walking distance to Octoberberfest. But, I would not choose this hotel again.

We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Deutsche Eiche. The room was spacious by European standards. The bed was comfortable and the room was very dark for sleeping. This hotel had many ‘nice touches’ that increased the value for the money. There was a welcome drink on the rooftop bar (wonderful location), a stocked mini fridge with water, soda, and beer that were provided free of charge with daily refilling. The hotel’s restaurant was quite good. What really stood out though was the way the hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate our traveling companions who thought they had a reservation (but didn’t). They found a room for them for one night and then found accommodation for them in a hotel just up the street - this was just before Oktoberfest so a life saver! The hotel is convenient to the Market and Town Hall and River. I highly recommend. A good value for the money.
