Worst Accommodation stayed at through Stayz
This property is over priced. We had poor experience from moment of arriving.
First of no-one communicated Unit number, only reference given was “ground floor unit”, key tag had “163” on it which we found had zero reference to our accommodation. I called after hours number, got a rude male who stated “I’m only after hours if you can’t get in, I’ll come let you in”. I explained what has occurred, he stated again aggressively “nothing I can do just try all the unit locks built you get in”.
On finally having a resident from the complex advise us we found our unit.
Opening the door offensive odour throughout entire unit requiring all doors to be opened.
Found rubbish on kitchen floor. There was no guest guide therefore no internet access or anything about the unit or things nearby. Dishwasher had dirty glasses in it.
On our child turning the lounge tv on found it didn’t work after turning it off & on then waited 20 minutes it was still trying to wake up. So each time we wanted to watch tv had to move a very small bedroom tv around.
Bathrooms extremely outdated, no fans so everything smelt damp, shower caddies covered in rust, no toiletries of any sort except hand soap in en-suite bathroom.
En-suite shower had numerous LONG black hairs all over the wall tiles and black pubic hairs on the shower floor. Main bathroom toilet had ‘cleaned sign’ on floor with urine still in toilet.
The unit floors were disgusting, leaving socks filthy in the end we wore shoes all the time. They obviously have and inside animal as there was evidence everywhere.
Over all, I don’t mean to sound rude or a snob but this is by far the worse Stayz or AirB&B style accommodation I/we have ever stayed in. The owners need to re-evaluate the price for the quality of accommodation provided. I believe at the most they can only ask $150-200 per night until the quality is seriously improved.
The agent Nelson Bay Holiday Accommodation also needs to review the above mentioned process and quality especially if they are contracting the cleaning company.
For those looking at this property and/or review, look elsewhere you will be disappointed. Sorry owners, please take this as being ways you can genuinely charge people how much you do, but most importantly be part of a great holiday experience for people visiting Nelson Bay.
