They were very accommodating, and friendly service. The bars were really great, and very convenient if you’re going to see shows. Very grateful for the extra steps they took to make our stay extra special.

Stylish boutique hotel close to Times Square
The hotel is stylish in moody colors. My room had two twin sized beds, which was perfect for me and my friend. Bed was very comfortable. The design of the room maximized storage space like a cruise ship. Extra towels and toilet paper were provided. We had a city view of 42nd Street. Room was 95% quiet-can hear faintly sirens and beats from their club. Bathroom was spacious and very clean. The restaurant in the hotel had excellent food. There is no lobby/lounge space to hang out in- only to transit in and out. Highly recommended, I would stay here again.

Perfect base to explore New York.
Fabulous hotel, room very comfortable for single occupant. Large comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with shower. Perfect base for exploring New York. Very central location and wonderful view. Rooftop bar was great location for a pre theatre cocktail.

What an AMAZING experience! The Civilian is now our NYC “go to” hotel. The location in the Hell’s Kitchen area made for terrific walking and dining. Lovely staff. Always friendly. Check in and out were super easy. The room (cozy twin) was far better than expected. Efficiently appointed. Comfortable beds. Bathroom and shower were perfect. Breathtaking view! Thank you!

Went to NYC for an overnight trip to see a couple shows. The hotel staff was great, the rooms (and beds) were comfortable and decorated nicely. The location was also good, close enough to the theaters but out of the fray. I would definitely stay here again.

There is no lobby which I was not aware. I prefer to have one. The elevators were slow. The roof top bar has a $100 minimum past a certain hour. As a person traveling alone, I could not get a drink at the hotel without spending a lot of money.
