Nice hotel but the front desk needs a little impro
Nice hotel in convenient area but the help was a bit frustrating when it came to getting checked in! We did get there before check-in time but when we told them we had a show to get to at 3 it was apparent the front desk and the valet/bell hop were not working well together. In fact we left the hotel and drove around the city for 90 minutes and when we returned, we sat on the couch waiting across from checkin as they told us they would let us know when the room was ready. When I saw others check in I finally got up and said can we please check in now and they said oh yes your room is ready, but never called us! At this point we had to leave our things with the bellman and just made it to our show with five minutes to spare. I witnessed the staff loudly discussing the problems with checking someone in incorrectly, when they finally did check us in and take our car keys they mixed up our car with another family. Once we did get to our room later that night, it was a nice room with a king bed which is rare for NYC and the bed was very comfortable!

The elevators are small and old. There are no coffee makers in the rooms. They offer coffee in the lobby from 7am - 10am, but they are now using tiny cups for the coffee, so there's a long line to get it and then another long line to get up in the elevator. They should at least increase the size of the cups or put coffee makers in the rooms - which is what they used to have. Check in is also slow, as they charge your card for an extra amount to cover any incidentals. This needs to be explained to each guest, thereby making the wait long.

The property location is 5 to 10 mins walk to Time Square. The building is little old and the rooms inside also felt the same way. The rooms didn't have a great view as well. I didn't feel it was worth for the money paid other than its close proximity to Time Square.
