One issue after another.
My fiancé and I checked in here because it was very close to the Broadway show we were going to see. Consistent small issues, were happening. One after another. From a 30 minute check-in . Listening to the lady at the front desk, talking about her personal life and almost begging us for a good review. Then to walking to our floor and hallway being stifling hot, and our hotel room was worse. Then, our shower drain backing up onto the bathroom floor. Then to the air-conditioning system not working the entire night. It showed 78 when we came in, and 77 when we left, even turning the thermostat down to 65 the entire night. The final straw was being woken up to the smell of cigarettes in the early morning and in the hallway. I would never stay here again even if it was free.

The hotel is fine. It’s affordable for a reason. It was clean enough but the rooms are incredibly worn and tattered. The beds were fine. Service was fine. Definitely no frills and the WiFi only worked sometimes. Ok for the price.

Great room and location
This hotel ended up being the perfect place to stay for our girls trip long weekend. It was only a couple of blocks walk from Times Square and Rockefeller Center, so it was easy to get to the things we came to see. The front desk was always busy, so there was always a wait to talk to a desk attendant. We were also on the 21st floor and it was sweltering hot for being the middle of winter, but luckily we were able to crack the windows and obtain a fan from the hotel staff and that helped cool down the room. Overall, we would definitely stay there again.

Non renovated rooms are 👎
While the service was wonderful the hotel is only partly renovated, which are the pictures you see on hotels.com. We needed 2 beds so we had to opt for the non renovated rooms. They are old, dirty, and falling apart. Literally. I had to clean something red off the back of the bathroom door because I couldn’t stand to look at it anymore. The phone didn’t work, the desk lamp didn’t work, there is no mini fridge, the tub is slippery af, the TV had a crack in it, and for a nonsmoking hotel our floor smelled like cigarettes the entire time. (9th floor). Now we didn’t spend much time in the hotel so it was tolerable but they really need to be honest about the conditions of the entire hotel, not just the king size bed renovated rooms. To their credit, at check in they let us look at the rooms first but we needed 2 beds in the room to accommodate our party so we couldn’t move to the king rooms.

The hotel is under renovation and the room was very outdated. Don’t know what the renovated rooms look like! Location is absolutely wonderful as well as the staff!

The updates to the hotel are coming along but that means there's construction noise going on. The staff was very accommodating, helping my wife get checked in a little early. And they did a great job managing the chaos during NYE. We'll give them another shot if we want to stay in the heart of NYC!

Charged me an extra 192 USD with no invoice and no explanation of what it was for. Probably for the terrible coffee I made in the morning. I tried to reach them multiple times, but no one was available. Stay better away from this place

Bed and overall room were clean and the staff helpful, however the property is in desperate need of renovation as there are holes in walls and the bathtub was like walking on a surfboard?
