Hotel is old and looks like it came out straight of a horror movie. Walls are thin and you can hear the other room’s occupant. During our last day there was a protest outside the hotel early in the morning. Staffs are friendly though and hotel is near the subway.

They gave a voucher for breakfast which got you a cup of coffee a muffin and a fruit. Could have opted for cereal, or roll over the muffin. They added a service 50 fee upon check in which I still can't find on web sight

Disgusting hotel
Disgusting room. Very dirty and the mattress had to be 20 years old. Wall plugs didn’t work. No soap, hand towels or wash clothes. There was a urine smell all around especially on the 22nd floor where we were.

It is most unfortunate that I rate this Hotel as substandard. Baring the ongoing Hotel renovations and misleading photos of their rooms on The Manhattan on Time Square website. I was appauled with the initial room assigned to me. When l feel I could be safer sleeping on the street, as a female over the age of 50, visiting NYC, is a sad day. It also did not help to have 2 pieces of luggage stolen from my room, between check in and a room transfer. Only 1 piece of my luggage was found at the Hotel Receptionist Desk. The hotel was clearly negligent in assigning a room that was not confirmed as unoccupied. Miraculously the surveillance cameras were (apparantly) not working on the 22nd floor. After explaining my situation of not having my personal luggage to a 3rd on duty Hotel Security Manager, was the first time I was offered a hotel form to report lost or stoel items and the typically, "someone will get in touch with me". Subsequent, less than 24 hours later, I called the Police to file a complaint. The Police investigation could not list my complaint as a theft after they observed the security camera footage; just as lost items, not theft. I was told this by the Police Officer. The rational I was given, was because my statement of events during the approx. 3 and a half hour window of the alleged offence and the review of the surveillance did not allign. Really! WOW! As if the violation of being robbed was not enough.

Worth the Stay
Second time I stay here and definitely worth it. I love the customer service and overall experience. The new updated rooms are comfortable and very clean. I love the easy access and location to everything. Definitely will be coming back

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I booked a fairly standard room and was surprised at how clean it was. The view of the surrounding area out of the window was better than I expected too. Be prepared for quite a line at check in, but as long as you dont mind the wait, the rest of the experience will be well worth it. We were out in the city most of the day but the comfy bed and air conditioning made it a welcome refuge to come back to afterward.

Great location, the facilities are sorely in need of renovations; however signs were posted that indicate that is on the way, not sure of the timeline. Theresa who worked the front desk the night I checked in was outstanding, caring and compassionate. I was in for a very sad occasion and she offered comfort and care and understanding.

There were huge bubbles under the wall paper and everything just seemed like there hasn’t been maintenance done in years. After every flush I would have to adjust the flapper valve in the toilet or it would never fill the tank. The carpet looked like it was 30 years old.

The staff were amazing. We were able to eat breakfast the was included. We used the gym daily. The hotel is currently going through upgrades and will be beautiful when it's finished. The location is very central. Easy to walk to many places. Closest to Time Square and Central Park. There are currently protesters outside the hotel from non union construction workers. They can be loud at the front of the building, but their cause can be understood.

I thought the hotel was extremely overrated. The pictures make it look beautiful but it actually is very rundown and feels like a motel. Really sad that hotel in Times Square is this horrible
