Do not stay at the Luxor!!
This was part of our honeymoon and we absolutely regret our decision from the moment we got there. We weren’t able to check in early, so we walked around the strip until we could. By the time we made it to the check in counter, there was a line and we had to wait over an hour just to speak to someone. There were signs all over saying to use their “mobile check in” however, because it was after 3pm (the time to check in) it wouldn’t let me. We told the woman that we would be leaving the following morning instead of staying the full four nights and asked if there was anyway to get our money back. She said because it was booked through a third party. Turns out that was a lie and she just didn’t want to have that conversation. The elevator is terrifying to say the least. The room was so small despite them calling it a “Pyramid Premier King” room. I paid $234 through Hotels.com and the front desk charged me another $330 and when I checked out the next day they tried to get another $60 out of me! I went on their website and did a mock up of the stay- same room price same days and their total was $395. So how did I end up paying $564 (plus daily parking!) for one night of a garbage stay. Oh! Don’t try sleeping because the outside window washers clean at all hours. Don’t be shocked if you hear banging outside your window and ropes slapping the window making it shake. Apparently that’s normal to clean at 11pm.

I will never stay there again. The elevator to the room was not working … the staff was not helpful. It quit working the second night I stayed and was still not working when we left the next day. They had 1 elevator after 12 hours but had no one there to fix the others. I was on the 29th floor so that is quite a hike on the emergency stairs. They also didn’t clean my room … very disappointing. Their service was slow, and lack luster. I will make sure and let all of my friends know that they should not book a stay at the Luxor.

Abusive Staff/Dilapidated Property
We witnessed and experienced Several examples of complete negligence by multiple staff members during our one night stay. From the rude and combative lifeguards at the pool, that I thought might even take a swing at me over moving a chair, to the management at the front desk raising his voice at a guest over a dispute. And No, we never heard the guest raise his voice, but we could hear the manager being Super rude from 20 feet away. To even another agent at the front desk verbally assaulting an elderly lady about where she was waiting to be helped at. Absolutely ridiculous! Management should be ashamed! Youre in the hospitality business. What the hell? And that's not even mentioning the elevator/inclinator. 1 of 4 actually ran the whole time but the noise and shaking was absolutely terrifying! I have a video and would love to share it. Oh, and we still need to save receipts, and wait in a line, to add points to our Rewards card. I think we can do better. Its 2024. MGM has been doing that since we bacame members over a decade ago. I was verbally attacked and physically threatened by a lifeguard about moving my lounge chair a few inches. Afterwards I was approached by other guests that saw the altercation and they said they experienced similar the day prior. Theres a systematic pattern here. Not good. Needless to say, we wont be returning. We should have just stayed at Mandalay Bay like we always do.

We didn’t receive the room we paid for. We didn’t receive a notification when our room was ready. The elevator to our room was broken. Bars inside the hotel weren’t open until 5pm. I called customer service twice for separate issues and the operator hung up on me both times.

A/C never got the room cool, no wash rags provided, TV did not work and elevators skipped floors and were very slow. I will not be staying there again.
