LOCATION:
In a quiet development on the edge of Cubert village. This modern property which sleeps 6, is a very comfortable home from home base to explore the delights of Cornwall and its fantastic coastline. Close to Holywell Bay (1.5 miles) and Crantock Bay (2 miles) which are quickly reached by road or walkable around the cliff tops. The house is 5 miles from Newquay and 4 miles from Perranporth. Cubert's local amenities include grocery store and post office, Bakery & Coffee Shop, fish and chip shop, children's play park and a 14th century Anglican Church. With breathtaking beaches, surfing, walking, family fun parks and golf.
THE HOUSE FEATURES:
Fully equipped kitchen, microwave, double oven and hob, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer. Comfortable lounge with ample seating, 40" TV with freeview and DVD player. Open plan to the kitchen, the dining room has plenty of space with seating for up to 6. The pleasant garden is a sun trap and has plenty of garden furniture with a raised astro-turfed decking area for play or sun-bathing. The bedrooms consist of 2 doubles and 1 twin room to accommodate 6 - if absolutely needed, we have a camp bed that can accommodate a child or an adult for short periods. Please advise if needed! There is plenty of wardrobe space in the bedrooms and a large under stairs cupboard on ground floor. The family bathroom is upstairs, with bath/shower and toilet. There is a further toilet downstairs. Outside, parking is available to the rear of the property in front of the garage which is available for storing bikes, beach kit, canoes etc during your stay. Bedding and towels (excluding beach towels) will be provided for you.
GARAGE AND PARKING
Space for TWO cars only - one in front of house, another in front of rear garage, where guests can store beach equipment, bikes etc. Garage can be accessed from the back garden.
LOCAL EATING & DRINKING:
At walking distance from the property - there's the "Smugglers' Den" pub and restaurant or a 5min drive away. In nearby Crantock. there is the The Olde Albion and The Cornishman pubs, and on West Pentire (just outside Crantock) there is The Bowgie Inn and CBay Cafe and Bistro. In nearby Perranporth, there are many drinekries and eateries!
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS INCLUDE:
Holywell Bay Beach is a large, open and sandy beach just 1.5 miles from the property and is a popular destination for surfers and swimmers. Cliffs encompass this rural beach, which at low tide is a mile long with a large expanse of sand dunes.
Crantock Beach - voted best British Beach by BBC Coast in 2013. Set at the bottom of a quintessentially English village with two charming pubs, you’ll find the beach by wandering through the National Trust car park. Fistral Beach Newquay - Fistral Beach is Newquay's iconic beach, quite simply one of the most consistent and best surfing beaches in the UK and Europe. This beautiful beach is west facing, long and sandy and backed by rocks and cliffs. Fistral is the perfect family beach offering simple pleasures of sea and surf combined with first class beach and seafront facilities including surf equipment hire, lessons and boutiques, showers, toilets, car parking, restaurants and cafes. The Smugglers Den - A local pub one and a half miles away. The Bowgie Inn, Crantock - a local pub perched on the West Pentire Headland overlooking the golden sands of Crantock Beach. The Crantock Bay Cafe/Bar/Bistro - Unsurpassed views over Crantock Beach. The Anvil Pub - On Holywell Road in Cubert just 5 mins walk from the house. A friendly free-house that serves good wholesome food.
GOLF:Holywell Bay Golf Course - the local course is only a few minutes away.Perranporth also has a course but there are so many beautiful courses, several with easy driving distance from the property.
