What a gem of a place to stay. I loved the commanding views of Lake Taupo, and the short steep walk down to the waters edge was a nice surprise and fun for the family. If you are looking for a secluded quiet place to stay with stunning views and birdsong this is it.

"Location was excellent for our needs being close to the Māori village and redwood forest. There is a strong sulphur smell though throughout the hotel. Plenty of parking."
