The Innkeeper and staff were very accommodating. The room was very clean and all we really needed for a few nights. The rooms were updated. We would have liked a table or bench or chair to put items on or sit on. There was not enough room in the bathroom to put toiletries. We would go back.

Chef Dan and Kamden made our morning breakfast buffet experience even more enjoyable! Food was delicious and we loved how hospitable they were. John greeted us upon arrival and made some great recommendations about restaurants and touring Gloucester. We stayed in the Inn in room Sunnyside up on third floor which had such a comfortable bed! There is some traffic noise so bring air plugs. The view from this Inn is soothing and cozy. The Crane Estate in Ipswich and the Hammond castle are a must see. Causeway restaurant right down the hill from Castle Hill Inn has delicious food. It’s a BYOB establishment. When booking make sure you choose the option that does not say lodge in description because they do have 2 motor lodges on the property which are separate from the Inn. This Inn is for those of you who appreciate the esthetic of an older historic home and the non hotel vibes that it comes with. We did have a fridge in our room along with a hair dryer. If you’re looking for a wedding destination at a unique location this is a must see. They also host small functions and events. The staff is what added so much quality to our visit for sure!

The bathroom was a little small but the bed was incredibly comfortable and the house is beautiful! Everyone was super nice and the prices were reasonable. I would happily stay here again.

Staff was great. Mattress very comfortable. Food great. However, we booked a year out. Lead to believe we had a room in the manor. We arrived and were handed keys to a room in a little building strip reminiscent of the bates motel. No ice machines. Teeny tiny fridge. I guess since we booked for Halloween ween we got what we paid for… bates motel.

Absolutely amazing place to stay and wonderful staff! The guy who checked us in provided us with a map of Gloucester and we enjoyed it so much! The bistro also had amazing breakfast!

It was good value and very accessible. To make the rating great they need a microwave, some kind of desk and additional chair in the room (the rooms were a good size so there shouldn't be an issue), and some kind of patio table for the outside.

Lovely historic property, sufficiently modernized for a comfortable stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is a short drive from restaurants and coffee shops. The Inn offers breakfast for purchase in a lovely dining room on the ground floor.
