Unique place to stay!
Royal Majesty Bungalow was the most unique place we stayed on our 20 day trip through Sri Lanka. The hotel is the 6th oldest plantation house built in Sri Lanka and converted into a couple of room bed-and-breakfast type place. If you enjoy history this is a great place to stay. Our room was huge and had lots of rustic/historic charm. The grounds are all owned by the working tea estate so it's a great place to walk around and see the process in action. The hotel staff took us on a walk and explained the process to us, which was very cool. The hotel itself is small (3 or 4) rooms and the staff is super attentive. They have their own cook who makes fantastic meals. Its only 45mins by car to Adams Peak. They staff arranged a driver for us who waited to bring as back when we were done. I highly recommend this place for a unique experience while in Sri Lanka. My only complaints would be that the house is old and has been renovated as a hotel so the amenities are bit dated and sometimes odd. It is also quiet, and in an isolated location. Perfect if you're looking for some quiet time. Wish they had some lawn chairs so you could sit outside and enjoys the amazing views!
