Quinta Courela das Aguinhas, a new villa set in peaceful ,panoramic location

Quinta courela das aguinhas is a large new villa that is divided into two .The one half is the holiday holiday villa.The owners live on site in the adjoining house. We respect your privacy but are on hand if needed. It is painted in the Portuguese White and yellow.
The kitchen , dinning room and lounge is open plan and has traditional alentejo high wooden ceilings. Two patio doors lead out on to a covered terrace.All the windows have shutters. The kitchen is well equipped with all modern conviences .
There is a private 10m- 5m swimming pool. Surrounded by a large terrace.
There are three bedrooms at the back of the house ,two double rooms one with ensuite the 3rd bedroom has 2 single and bunk beds and has on ensuite that is accessible from the bedroom or the hall.
There are outside tables and chairs for alfresco eating , wether it's breakfast outside watching the sun rise or at night chilling out watching the stars twinkling in the sky after a day relaxing by the pool..There are outside lights and pool lights if you fancy a night swim
The villa also has its own lake on the land as well as it being home to the ducks and geese frequent visitors are the nesting storks and a heron.

Great place to relax and unwind
We had a fab time at Brian and Lesley's villa. It's a lovely property with a great swimming pool, set in rural surroundings. Brian and Lesley are really nice people, always around to help if needed but they also give you privacy and allow you to get on with your holiday. The villa is very remote (nearest supermarket is 14 mins drive) so it's the ideal place to relax. We managed trips to Beja and to Milfontes as well as the science centre/mining centre about an hour north. Definitely recommend this property if you want to see the quiet Alentejo region of Portugal.

Our hosts Brian and Lesley were wonderfully welcoming and could not have been more helpful in finding our way about the local area. The house is quiet and calming, the perfect place to unwind for your holiday, highly recommend

Very quiet retreat away from it all but still accessible to coast etc. Large clean pool ,plenty of space for everyone. Extremely well equipped throughout including pool and surrounding areas and especially the kitchen. Owners are very attentive,pleasant and extremely welcoming even with welcome groceries beyond what is usual. They are very keen that guests have a good time and anxious to get everything right. Would definitely recommend especially to those whose priority is relaxation in very pleasant surroundings with far reaching views etc. Also 10mins away by car (essential)is very good supermarket.

Beautiful place and very well maintained
Absolutely wonderful. Brian and Lesley are great hosts. They have created a beautiful garden. Brian looks after the swimming pool very carefully - better than most 5☆ hotels. Good place for family holiday with young children with swings, table tennis etc and of course all the lovely animals - Junior the donkey, dogs, geese, goats and ducks. We wish them every success with this new venture. We used it as a base for birdwatching. Local walks just beyond gate, and within easy reach of Castro Verde reserve, Mertola and Santa Clara swimming lake.

A wonderful place - Um lugar maravilhoso
I do not even have the words to describe how happy I was to have found this house. Brian and Lesley are a wonderful and very kind couple. They live in the adjacent house but they give you all the privacy. The house is wonderful. It has 3 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has 2 single beds and a bunk bed. One of the bedrooms has a private bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need and the living room is very comfortable. All exterior is wonderful. The pool is large, salt water and has lots of toys for the kids. The house has ping-pong, pool table, table football and many other entertainment. The animals are loving. The kids loved going with Brian feeding the animals. And the donkey ... I fell in love with the donkey Junion, so dear. The best vacation home I have ever stayed in. Very relaxing, true peace. Do not hesitate to choose this house ... I am sure you will not regret it. Eu nem tenho palavras para descrever como me senti feliz por ter encontrado esta casa. O Brian e a Lesley são um casal maravilhoso e muito simpático. Eles moram na casa adjacente mas dão-nos toda a privacidade. A casa é maravilhosa. Tem 3 quartos. Um dos quartos tem 2 camas de solteiro e um beliche. Um dos quartos tem casa de banho privada. A cozinha tem tudo o que você precisa e a sala é muito confortável. Todo o exterior é maravilhoso. A piscina é grande, de água salgada e tem muitos brinquedos para as crianças. A casa tem ping-pong, mesa de bilhar, matraquilhos e muitos outros entretenimentos. Os animais são amorosos. As crianças adoraram ir com o Brian alimentar os animais. E o burro... eu fiquei apaixonada pelo burro Junion, tão querido. A melhor casa de férias onde eu já estive. Muito relaxante, uma verdadeira paz. Não hesitem em escolher esta casa... eu tenho a certeza que não se vão arrepender.

Everything you need for a relaxing holiday
We had a fantastic time at the property, everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The lounge and dining/kitchen area is compact but very comfortable with all the mod cons on hand.to ensure minimum time preparing meals. The American style fridge freezer was a bonus being able to hold lots of frozen food along with plenty of the essentials like wines & beers. Joking aside we spent most of the time enjoying the fantastic pool and sun loungers and eating out on the terrace which was so relaxing, no noise. There are plenty of games equipment on hand to keep all ages entertained. A car is a must because of the rural location, but it is only an hours drive from the west coast or the Algarve. The animals which the owners have are very entertaining and young children would love them. Thank you Lesley & Brian for being brilliant hosts and for all your help and advice. Overall we had a brilliant time. We hope to be able to return in the future to experience it all again, apart from the car breaking down!!

Fantastic family holiday in very sunny Portugal!
We enjoyed a fantastic family holiday at this peaceful, rural villa. The villa is very well maintained and is immaculately clean. The kitchen is well equipped with high quality equipment, the cooker is so quick to cook on, coffee machines, really large fridge and more than enough glass and cooking utensils. The living room has lots of sofa space, UK TV, DVDS, books and so many games we couldn't possibly play them all. The beds are really comfortable. The pool is amazing! Large, salt water and so clean and well maintained by Brian, who cleans it daily and covers it at night. There are so many pool toys and outdoor toys provided. Table tennis, ping-pong, table football, pool table, badminton net and rackets, swing ball...the list goes on. The kids were never bored here! The animals on site, donkey, goats, ducks, geese, chickens and sheep were a delight and are so loved. My youngest spent every morning (and evenings) feeding and helping with the animals, it made his holiday! Thank you. The owners, who live in the adjoining villa, are so helpful and pleasant and give you such privacy while being welcoming and friendly. This villa is perfect for getting away from it all and relaxing. The area is rural, the local town is about 15 minute drive away. The beaches are amazing (about 1.5 hours drive away, but worth a visit, we went 3 times to different beaches). The local town of Ourique has all you really need. Supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants. The owners Lesley and Brian have created something really special here. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. It was absolutely perfect for us. Thank you.

A well appointed house
The house had more than everything we needed. The children enjoyed the pool and farm animals. The local town had a good grocery about 15 minutes away. We enjoyed the surrounding small towns - the authentic Portugal. Just over an hour to good beaches. The owners were the best; living adjacent they were always available and offered good advice on the area. Our family of 5 had a good weeks' stay.

Our best holiday ever...
We were greeted by the incredibly friendly owners Brian and Lesley. 6 of us stayed, perfect family accommodation. The villa was spotless, beautiful pool area and sunbeds. Nice shaded gazebo with seating for 6+. The villa was so well equipped, the kitchen provided all the tools we needed and the outdoor BBQ was great. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the location, it was so relaxing. Apart from the huge 10x5 metre pool, there was lots on offer to keep my four children occupied - table tennis, pool table, and the owners keep chickens, goats, dogs and a donkey!! My children loved watching/helping with the animals. A car is essential to get to the beautiful beaches on the West Coast. These were mainly occupied by Portugese people and had lovely restaurants close by. These were an approximate 45 minute drive away. We could not have asked for lovelier hosts. Brian and Lesley saw to our every need and were a great source of information about the local area. We have visited Portugal for the last six years all in different accommodation but this one stands out as by far the best, it was our perfect holiday.

Nous avons été bien reçus par brian et lesley. Le logement était propre, très bien équipé et très confortable. Il ne manquait de rien. Le logement se situe à 15 minutes du village d'ourique, bourg de 5 000 habitants, où on y trouve toutes les commodités pour passer un bon séjour et à une heure des plages. Encore merci à brian et lesley de leur gentillesse et à tous les animaux de la ferme d'avoir égayé notre quotidien (oies, âne, chien, chèvres...).

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour. La propriété est propre et très bien équipée. Les literies sont parfaites. La piscine géniale. Le cadre est calme pour se détendre c'est idéal! Adorámos a estadia, os anfitriões (Brian e Lesley), sempre prestáveis e afáveis. Uma semana de descanso, sem dúvida a repetir.
O Brian e a Lesley são dois anfitriões espetaculares, sempre prontos e disponíveis para ajudar e mostrar os seus animais que têm na quinta. Fantástica semana de descanso
Anfitriões super simpáticos. Uma semana de férias de tranquilidade e paz. Com muita variedade e entretenimento para crianças e adultos. Amazing place and super nice owners
About the place: It's situated 10 minutes from the village. Here is very calm, you can hear the birds, check on the sheep, goats, donkeys, ducks and geese. The house is clean and spaceous and have everything that you might need, from kitchen gadgets, to fans, hairdryers, etc. The beds are confortable. Outside you have plenty of options: take a swim in the pool, catch some sun, play table soccer, table tennis. It's quiet so it's great for a nap, read a book, do meditation. At night you can stargaze, it's amazing since there's less light polution. The owners are super nice, always available and help you with anything that you need. They told us the names and some stories about the animals that they have since we're animal lovers.

Quinta situada a 9 kms da Vila de Ourique. Bons acessos. Zona muito calma. Não obstante, a quinta está dotada de de meios de diversão que ajudam muito a preencher os dias sem ter de sair daquele espaço. As condições de conforto são muito boas e o acolhimento dos proprietários é excecional. A não perder para quem gosta de ambiente rural e tranquilidade absoluta. Iremos repetir a experiência com toda a certeza.

Excelente local para férias em família, tem tudo o que é preciso. Relax att the country-side!
A really nice and complete holidayhouse, situated at the country-side. When you are looking for a COVID-19 save place, when you love animals, quietness, a great pool, this is the place to be! You do need a car however. Lesley and Brian are always around you and they are very willing to help! We arrived late at night and Lesley and Brian had arranged everything for a good breakfast, we felt really welcome! Junior, Lucinda and Estrella are the donkeys; we miss them! Si vous souhaitez passer une semaine inoubliable dans une propriété confortable, cette location est faite pour vous. Les propriétaires sont formidables et c'est la première location où lors de notre arrivée il y avait autant de petites attentions. Uma estadia agradável numa semana de muito calor em que a piscina foi o melhor. A casa apresenta-se como no anúncio, tal como o espaço envolvente e a quinta muito bem tratada. A Lesley e o Brian estiveram sempre disponíveis para tudo o que foi preciso. Pontos negativos: o calor no interior da casa que, apesar das ventoinhas de teto, não foi fácil de suportar, sobretudo à noite. A limpeza de todo o espaço no geral estava bem, apenas a apontar que a cadeirinha de comer para a bebé podia estar mais limpa.
