This was our first time with accommodation similar to this one ,it's not for everyone, the owner and staff were nice. We didn't anticipate the temperature so it was hot at night which made our sleep uncomfortable.

Beautifully landscaped, each little bungalow or tent was separate enough to feel like you had the place to yourself, but close enough to walk from parking. Thoughtfully designed and staff was incredible. 10/10 on all levels

Beautiful grounds with plants, hammocks, and wildlife. The glamping tent felt very secluded even though we weren't far from the main pool and common area. Really convenient to have the kitchen area available if you want to make dinner. Cooked to order breakfast was delicious!

Very nice owners. Relaxing facility, however the beds are really hard, there are ALOT of bees around the pool area making it difficult to enjoy. Landscaping is beautiful. You NEED a car here to freely travel to and from the beach and to restaurants. They only serve breakfast, and they don’t have any other snacks or food for sell. Overall we had a pleasant stay!

Great glamping opportunity. Well run with clean and happy and polite staff. The units are great and very modern. Plenty of good restaurants in the area. Only downside is no AC when its hot (Which we knew) and some music from the neighbor rentals that were too load too late at night. Otherwise a good experience and a great value.

Give Glamping a Try!
This is an extraordinary property - Glamping in a nature reserve - surrounded by lush vegetation, with the sound of howler monkeys in the trees. We loved it. The tent - and furnishings are spare and comfortable, as you'd want. The outdoor bathroom is fabulous - it has a roof of course and a door, but the shower is open, completely private and wonderful. Sophie, our host, was so friendly. We liked the lazy and very friendly dogs that greet you daily. Breakfast was delicious. On hot parts of the day - we were there in the rainy season - the pool offered the perfect place to cool off. This is an amazing place. Don't miss it. Great WiFi at the main palapa but we couldn't get it at our tent, but we didn't care too much. Our first glamping and we really want to come back.

Warm, Friendly and Tropical!
Let me start by saying that I am an air conditioned hotel room kind of traveler! My husband found Flor y Bambu on line and thought "glamping" sounded like such fun! I reluctantly agreed. Our teenage son was all for it! Well, I needlessly worried about being too warm sleeping in a tent. The breeze was lovely and the tent had a large oscillating fan. By the third night I was acclimated to it. The tent was spacious and had everything we needed. Sophie and Nicolas, the owners, are lovely people and made us feel so welcome. The home cooked breakfasts were delicious and we used the swimming pool every day. My son adored the owner's two dogs! The grounds are stunning. Each tent is privately situated and feels like a little slice of paradise. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant on the same road and the cafes and restaurants in Playa Grande, the closest beach. Not far from Playa Tamarindo, Playa Flamingo and Liberia. We wholeheartedly recommend Flor Y Bambu for a unique vacation experience!

This place is the reason we will be back to Costa
I will have to start my review with WOW..Staying here was one of the best experiences we had in all our travels! What an unique experience!!! Nicolas&Sophie created an amazing sanctuary where you can enjoy nature & the “wilderness” in style & comfort. The whole concept of “glamping” is incredible: Where else can you have night concerts (howler monkeys) when falling asleep & morning concerts (all kinds of birds) when waking up..while in a tent..resting on a super comfortable mattress..on a queen size bed..that stands on hardwood floor..next to the fridge where you can get a super cold drink.. ? Awesome, isn’t? ;) You are surrounded by perfection: lush grounds, a lovely swimming pool, private spacious tents that are equipped and styled better than many 4+* hotels.Lovely little touches are all over: from candles, plush towels of various sizes to hypoallergenic cute soaps (never mind the outdoor shower, equipped with a showerhead that makes you believe you are in rainforest!).I was worrying about mosquitoes or being too hot without a/c-evening breeze & fan inside the tent made all of the above to go and stay away! Absolutely perfect! Breakfast was fantastic & made to order from a few available options. Every morning on top of your selection you were served with bowl of fresh fruits & delicious smoothie! Sophie and Nicolas, thank you SO MUCH for welcoming us into your home, for the amazing time and WOW experience!!! ;) Pura Vida!

Great experience
We loved it. We are an older couple so weren’t sure if it would be comfortable but the tent itself was very well sealed for bugs. The bed super comfortable. The outdoor shower was private and clean. The owner Sophie was very accommodating and helpful. She even drove us to the beach. She made a delicious breakfast. The only downfall was that you need to take a taxi anywhere and it was off the beaten path. But all this is workable. Loved our experience.

Glamping experience in the jungle
Beautiful glamping experience in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle. The attention to detail is admirable. Each cabin had a different name, cabins were decorated with ambient lights, there were a wide variety of plants and everyday at breakfast you get a new little flower from the garden. The experience was very exotic and raw, it felt so great to be so close to nature. At night you could hear all the animals, and you could observe the trees and landscape while you showered outside. Besides the little porch in your tent, there are lots of common areas you can escape. There's a space to relax on hammocks, and you can also take a dip in the pool. The kitchen and living room area are shared with the owner's family, although all of them are very welcoming, it sometimes feels a little intrusive to be in the area because it feels like walking into their home.

Special experience in a tent camp hotel
This is a very nice and special place, beautiful garden and a kind of camping experience. We loved the place and would certainly come back again. Rooms are nice and clean and you will hear all kinds of animals during the night. The shower in the back of the tent is a highlight. All over a great place to spend a couple of days.

Beautiful grounds, wonderful owners
Sophie & Nicolas live on site and so they are personally involved in making your stay the best experience possible. They have created a paradise-like environment with all the plants & flowers. The outdoor shower is private and beautifully designed. There is good food, smoothies and coffee prepared fresh for you personally when you come down for breakfast. There's no A/C or TV (they would seem out of place in this setting) but the WiFi is excellent. This is a place to connect with nature and perhaps reconnect with your mate under the stars in a truly peaceful and calm place.

A MUST TRY, Unique Experience.
You MUST try Flor Y Bambu!!! The location: the location was perfect. Right down the road from an amazing restaurant called Cafe del Pueblo, the location is secluded and not near anything but it's an easy drive to Tamarindo, Playa Grande, and Playa Conchal. The hotel: WOW. First of all it's a beautiful space, the outside is like a little botanical garden. It's serene and there is a really nice pool right in the middle of all the tents. The tents themselves fit the exact description of CLAMPING, glamorous camping. You get the best of both worlds. The camping experience comes in the outdoors, in the sounds of rain and bugs and the hmm of birds. Also the shower is the coolest outdoor shower I've ever seen! Then the glamour comes in when you step inside the tent. It's like a hotel room in a tent. Wood floors, a beauiftul and comfortable bed, good lighting, and you feel totally safe because there is a mosquito blocker and lock. My husband likes camping and roughing' it and I love resorts and hotels so it truly was the best of both worlds. The Staff: Sophie and her husband are AMAZING. They were totally relaxed, super welcoming and friendly, and just fun. They welcomed us when we came in and they made sure our stay was perfect. Sophie makes the best complimentary breakfast, way better than any breakfast in the states! STAY HERE.
