Delta Downtown
We thought we were booked at the Delta Airport but our mix up. Use caution the hotel names are the same. We travel around the world and get screwed up in Winnipeg 😂. The fellow at the airport hotel was most helpful, suggested it was only 10 minutes by taxi to downtown, rather than paying for another room. Check in was great, room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Only spent 6 hours there, so no comment on hotel services, etc. Only complaint was that the wind howled all night and you could hear it through the locked patio door.

We enjoyed our stay at the Delta Hotel. Front desk workers were very nice and check in was quick. Convenient underground garage for parking but does charge $21/night. Restaurant attached to hotel (Elephant Castle) was very good and priced fairly. The pool was very large which we love but do not like that children are not allowed after 9PM even with parents. Most importantly it felt safe and secure.

Check in was terrible. Booked two rooms on the same reservation months before the date of the stay. Went to check in 20 minutes before check in time. Was informed they had no rooms available until I started to make a fuss, magically a room was ready. They could not get us the second beside the first or even on the same floor. They could not give us an approximate time or call us when the second room was ready. They claimed it was "first come, first serve" until again I put up a fuss then magically again there was another room available on a different floor. For safety reasons we couldn't use the key from one floor to access the floor of the other room so it made it difficult to visit/coordinate. I will definitely only book this specific location again as a last resort.
