Nice property and easy access to explore south Finistere. Nevertheless, restaurant was close (only Breakfast available). I also forgot an electric teeths brush in my room and never reveived any notification call from the hotel. Small attention which are making the difference between a 5 and a 4. But even with understaff, the hotel team is doing it best effort and remain attentive for any needs.

A charming French Manoir
We enjoyed our stay at the Manoir de Moëllien. The host was gracious when we arrived. The room was as expected and the breakfast was generous. The best part was the charm of an old French manoir in an idyllic setting away from the noise of the city

Lovely Stay En Bretagne
The Manoir is in a beautiful location in Bretagne. The rooms were a bit small, but very well equipped including a nice coffee maker and beautiful bathrooms. There was nothing lacking. The only negative is when we had to cut our trip short, they refused to reimburse the two nights we didn’t stay. If they re rented the rooms, it was their gain and our loss.

A little disappointed
I totally agree with little_brown_cutie's review. This old manor has great potential. However, the furnishings and decorations do not match up with the historic buildings. This property has been furnished/decorated on a budget and not in keeping with the age of the buildings. There could have been a greater attention to detail and this property needs an infusion of capital. If appointed properly, rates could be set higher to recoup. Staff were friendly although the "welcome" was a bit perfunctory. Breakfast was in a lovely room and was fine.

A very special hotel
This is a very special hotel, based on a renovated 17th century manor house. It is set in beautiful countryside, and is very quiet, being a Relais de Silence hotel. The bedrooms are located in the orangeries, adjacent to the manor house which houses the restaurant, bar and reception. The dining hall has amazing atmosphere, with solid stone walls, a high ceiling and a large log fire. The cuisine is superb and the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The current owner has made many improvements, and the bedrooms have been modernised to a high standard, although there is no air-conditioning. Sadly the hotel is closed during the winter, from early October to March or April. I have been using this hotel for many years, and will continue to do so whenever I visit France. I highly recommend it to others.

A lovely country manor house bring improved
The manior is a lovely old country manor house under new ownership that is trying to restore/improve the property. However, most of the rooms are in detached structures with much less character so far. The rooms themselves are a nice size, very clean, and modern but with no character to match the manor house and no carpets on the floor.

This is a beautiful old chateau with gorgeous grounds. Our room was in a separate ground floor suite which was nice however it smelled very very badly to the point it was difficult to stay in the room and sleep. The air was thick with a pungent, musty smell. Disappointing. There were some random dead flies laying around in the room. It felt a little uncared for.

An exceptional hotel
I have been using this hotel for more than 10 years. It is the restaurant that makes this hotel so exceptional. The dining room is in the 17th century Manor House, and in cooler weather there is a large log fire. The standard of cuisine is superb, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dining here is a special experience, but note that the restaurant is closed on Sundays. The rooms are in two separate buildings, and I believe that they have all now been refurbished to a high standard.

Excellent hotel with a superb restaurant
I have stayed at this hotel regularly for more than 10 years. Many of the rooms have been recently updated to a very high standard. The restaurant is excellent, located in a hall within the 17th century Manor House, with a large log fire. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the quality of the cuisine is superb. The hotel is a Relais du Silence, and is located in a peaceful rural area.

Our second Visit.
We found this place last year and loved its quiet atmosphere and convenient location. The food si excellent and we stayed tow days this year to fully appreciate the hotel and its surroundings. The staff are very friendly and luckily for us speak very good English so all our requests were met with easy understanding and immediate attention. If you want a quiet base from which to explore the delights of western Brittany then you must consider this hotel and give it a try.

Beautiful location, authentic manor renovated. Only complaint was the lack of ventilation in the room and with window open, mosquitos and flies. Strong air freshener not good. Overall very nice.

This has to be one of the best picture postcard hotels I have come across. As new customers arrived, everyone was pretty well guaranteed to reach for their camera as a priority. The building and gardens just have so much character.

Splendid isolation!
Remote, but adequately signposted from nearest main roads. Very picturesque. Efficient and friendly reception. Nice rooms on two floors in the converted stables. Short walk to main building for meals. Breakfast a little short of choices (no orange segments or diced fruit, for instance) and no a la carte at dinner. The quality of the food, however, was excellent in the set menu, and the service discreet and attentive.
