The property overall was very nice and well maintained. Although limited on dining, there was a nice selection between menu items and the salad bar. Room was okay -thought we were in a king bed instead placed in a double so killed the romance portion of the trip. Veronica was amazing at check in - easiest time I have had in years. Angel at the Andrea restaurant was incredible. Oney at La Ribeira provided incredible service every time. The real standout was Edwin at the beach/pools. He made our trip even better so a big thank you to him. My main complaint is with the dreaded pool chair reservations aka towel club. Hard to find a chair unless you come down at day break. Not uncommon for a family to reserve 5 chairs with towels and the nearest table with their bags. We even witnessed a family take up 2 beach cabanas and yes pool side reservations as well. The resort leaves laminated cards but no enforcement. So if you go during a busy week be prepared to be frustrated. Overall a nice clean low end type of resort with two restaurants, a couple pools and an amazing staff well suited for a family get away.

The resort staff were all so nice and genuinely happy to help you. Ricardo at La Ribera restaurant took such good care of us.The grounds are perfectly manicured and absolutely beautiful. It seriously looks like Disneyland. This was our second time here and we absolutely love this place. We can't say enough good things about it. That's why it has such good reviews.

This is a nice hotel with all inclusive choice, there are a few things I would change : More buffet choices or rotation of buffet choices not always the same Make one of the pools and adults only (the one with the fountain) Do not allow people to eat while inside the pool Have pool bartenders pick up cups left by people around the pools Have some one sweep around pool area Have better night entertainment Workers are very friendly and will help you with anything they can, they go out of their way to help you and make you feel well taken care off. Rooms are cleaned every day and at night a lady will come to ask if you need anything (tip her)

Staff were super nice and helpful. Kids loved the pools and proximity to the beach. The 3bd suite we were upgraded to was a bit dated but clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts were great but the rest of the food options weren’t very tasty. Would have loved more simple and loc options.

The staff is wonderful. The food is very, very good! Our room was upgraded when we arrived, was very nice. We had an amazing 4 days! Totally worth the $.

First of all, Heriberto and Francisco and the staff at Andrea made us fans of Velas! Heriberto is such a great culinary guide that I deferred to him with every meal selection and drink pairing. Francisco was also extremely attentive and when we saw him working at different stations, he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. These people are the true asset of this place. Velas is close to the airports, so the ride is short. However, it is still in a secluded posh beach front area that feels so far from The airport. Our Expedia level gave us upgrades, including free transport/room upgrades/extra amenities. Velas was extremely communicative when I was making arrangements for the transportation from the airport. When we landed at PVR, I got confused and was suckered in by the time share ppl. DON’T make this mistake. Exit past them. Before leaving the airport, turn left . The VIP desk that manages the transportation is behind that bar on the left as you are facing the doors to exit PVR. The hotel is in the Puerto Vallarta Marina zone. It is about a 15 minute leisurely walk through safe streets. There are also cabs stationed throughout in case you want to quit walking or bough too much stuff to carry. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and checked in promptly. We were offered the upgraded room, but elected to keep the original one. Our room was great and had a kitchen, but we barely used it since we had the all inclusive package. The staff made this stay!!!!

We (my wife , two year old and two month old) stayed in the studio room 3601. It has a small balcony with beautiful view of sunrise and part of the beach. The service is exceptional. The food is delicious, I recommend the steaks over the seafood. The pools are spacious, we went in November not that many people. The beach is nice. The room has air conditioning and snacks and beverages at your disposal. It's located close to the marina (maybe a 30 min walk). To me it seemed a little overpriced but I think it's because of inflation right now so everything is high.

Amazing, I have celiac disease and a rare anaphylaxis to gluten. The staff was very understanding and were able to accommodate for me. Overall an amazing experience

This was a great stay. We got a good deal. I believe it was listed as 7 restaurants of which there were only two. The food and drinks were decent. Very clean hotel. My biggest complaint is that the number of restaurants didn’t match what was advertise and the food and drinks could’ve been better.
