Been staying at Villa for vacation for years. Normally go around thanksgiving but this year did new years. While it was ok, probably won't ever go around Christmas or new years again. We weren't able to get a pool side room. Our room had view of parking lot. We told reception and they said they would move us but always had an excuse and never got moved. Plus, of no fault of the resort; Christmas time there is much cooler, so didn't get in water too much because too cold. Probably will stay with them again, but just during our usual thanksgiving time.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel facilities. Pools were nice, beach was good, and parking was so easy. The only complaint I have is that you could not pay for anything (drinks, food, ice cream/coffee, etc.) with cash. You also could not charge it to your room. Kind of a pain to keep using your card.

I booked this hotel on December 31st around 7:30 PM. I received my itinerary from Expedia. When I arrived in a cab with my two young boys, the security guard in the front took my name and itinerary number. He called the front desk of the hotel and was told my name did not exist (I wrote it down for him in his notebook). I asked him to let me through with the taxi to go to the front of the hotel and he said that the hotel was full and I could not pass. I tried to call the hotel from the taxi but as it was New Years night they just said it was full and my name wasn't there and it was full and I could not pass. My phone kept hanging up as I am in Mexico and I had to leave to try and find a place to stay. It was awful as I had two kids with me and I was worried about trying to book again on expedia. We went to the Malecon and waited till three AM with my kids until I could book again for tonight. Awful expedia experience and I have always used expedia Awful hotel experience as the guard wouldn’t let me go to the front of the hotel snd shoe them my itinerary on the phone.

Check in was terrible. 1 hour in line to check in to be told to wait 45 minutes to get the key.They have to do everything handwritten. There is no computer system. Pool closes at 10. Very little amenities. 15-20 minutes from the city center and Zona Romantica. There are taxis readily available, clean rooms, and beach access.

Overall the property is good. We didn't do the all inclusive so i cannot comment on the restaurants. From what i was hearing the food and drinks were average like most resorts. The grounds were kept very clean and the beach,pools and staff were excellent! The gym is one of the better gyms I have used at a resort. The rooms are a bit dated but we aren't too fussy about the rooms as we don't spend much time in them aside from sleeping. Property location is probably the best part of the resort. Super close to lots of shopping ,restaurants,airport and outside activities. We walked around outside the resort during the day and night and never felt safer in Mexico.

I took my three kids (6, 8 and 10 years old) and it was amazing. The food was great, staff was wonderful. We all felt very safe. The beach was clean. We ride horses. Jet skied, did the pirate ship excision and went to old town PV and it was all easy to organize right from the resort / beach. There was a crocodile that swam up on us the first night which was terrifying, but we didn’t see anything like that again.

Great location, loved the building, pool and activities. Everything was great for the kids. There is shopping very close by - from affordable to higher end. The games and social events were super fun. The beach is excellent. Just loved it.

My adult daughter and I stayed in a studio that was perfect for our needs. We were in the main building facing the mountains, and i enjoyed a sunrise coffee on my balcony every morning. We did not do all inclusive because we like to experience the fantastic food in PV, and had lots of outings planned. There is a grocery store nearby, where we stocked up. And the small market onsite for the convenience. The pool was the highlight of the hotel for us. The beach was also enjoyable. For those who smoke, the little smoking section out front was always clean and sociable. We found the location convenient, and a reasonable cab to anything you might want (or a cheap and easy bus for the adventurous). While we spent most of our time offsite, we enjoyed the hotel while we were there. Note, be prepared to wait if you want a crepe. My daughter said it was really good, but it took a very long time. I would stay here again, but i am not a fan of the planned renovations which seem to be stalled as of Dec/24.
