The receptionist kindly let us check in 30 minutes early. On entering our room, we noticed the sealant in the bathroom had worn away and black mould had started to grow. The doors to the balcony were blown, meaning we had to wipe the condensation off of them with a towel quite frequently and they fogged up easily.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable but they were two singles pushed together, which we didn’t expect for a deluxe room.
All of the staff were very helpful and responsive, and we couldn’t fault breakfast. The variety of food and drinks was great.
Unfortunately the spa area was a bit tired. The swimming pool was quite dated and the jacuzzi and sauna were poolside so there wasn’t that element of privacy and relaxation. I also felt the pool area and changing rooms were quite dirty and I was hesitant to go bare feet.
Overall the stay was pleasant, the grounds/golf course are lovely and breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly, but the rooms and spa need some attention.
