The receptionist kindly let us check in 30 minutes early. On entering our room, we noticed the sealant in the bathroom had worn away and black mould had started to grow. The doors to the balcony were blown, meaning we had to wipe the condensation off of them with a towel quite frequently and they fogged up easily. The bed and pillows were very comfortable but they were two singles pushed together, which we didn’t expect for a deluxe room. All of the staff were very helpful and responsive, and we couldn’t fault breakfast. The variety of food and drinks was great. Unfortunately the spa area was a bit tired. The swimming pool was quite dated and the jacuzzi and sauna were poolside so there wasn’t that element of privacy and relaxation. I also felt the pool area and changing rooms were quite dirty and I was hesitant to go bare feet. Overall the stay was pleasant, the grounds/golf course are lovely and breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly, but the rooms and spa need some attention.

Great value for money
We stayed there for one night, myself, my wife and two 15yr olds. I thought it was exceptional value for money. The price of the room including breakfast for 4 was really cheap, but the fact that we were all able to use the gym (which was excellent with very new equipment) and have a swim and steam and sauna all included. It meant it really made a good trip for the night. The only downfall was although the restaurant was nice, the food was well over priced for what it was, it wasnt great and the menu is very limited. Dinner cost us a lot more than the room. But i would definitely stay in the hotel again

Chose a last minute break and though a hotel with a spa and golf club would be ideal. Sadly it was very tired in the communal areas to a point where it looked like it needed a good clean. The bar and restaurant was under staffed and even though it had a separate golf area the bar was overrun with golfers not caring about the guests paying to stay. Breakfast was crazy with so many of them taking over the dining area. The pool was tired along with the rest of the area. The room had been modernised and was comfortable, just a shame that again paid for a better room but this was next door to the house keeping room where they decided to off load all the glass water bottles and stock up the trollies early on a Sunday morning.

There wasnt much to like. Food was poor and served late. 4 attempts to get xmas pudding right gave up in the end. Disco room had no tables or chairs, had to complain. Bar was half stocked with drink, disco was poor. Breakfast was nice good choices. Wouldnt go to an event there again! Not good value for money.

Sad and tired pool & spa. Changing facilities not nice - dirty and messy. Basket of used towels overflowing onto the floor. Used towels left in changing rooms. Sauna door couldn’t close. Shower next to it had water pouring out of the on/off switch and not much coming out of the shower head. Breakfast average but coffee great. Some breakfast items missing on the server for a long time. Stayed for a Xmas party - food took very long to serve - we sat for ages with no food. Started 7.30 had pudding at 9.30 - and then had to go and ask for it as 4 people on our table were not given desserts. Could do with being managed.

Was a bit worried after so many varied reviews. The hotel reception is not very warming or welcoming but the receptionists were amazing. We were given a free upgrade after she noticed our room was next to the party room. This was most welcomed. The room was lovely - however it wasn’t serviced and the shower gel dispenser was broken. Another receptionist gave us information for local taxis. Very long wait for food on the Friday evening due to there being 2 parties. We waited over an hour and food was ok could have been a little warmer. The staff / waitresses need a bit of an injection of happiness - not one smile from any of them. Breakfast was ok a bit of a wait but very much it is what it is. We would stay again however.

A lovely stay for two nights whilst at work. The facilities are excellent, the hotel is set on a rather large golf course and is very picturesque. There’s a lovely little spa area and a large 15 meter pool with Jacuzzi and spa area. The hotel overall is very nice but rather bland in most places. I feel that it could use a little bit of personality injected into it but it served its purpose very well and it was a pleasant day regardless. I stayed in room number 245 and it was a great size and very clean. The bathroom let it down, however. It was very old and tired and the toilet cistern was attached to the wall with a block of wood. There was a shelf above the sink meaning the tap could not be turned on fully and, despite there being a note on the wall, it took ages for the water to run hot; resulting in me leaving the tap running for at least five minutes, which isn’t very eco-friendly. I would definitely stay here again though, but I would upgrade to a better room in the hopes of not running into the instances with the bathroom.

I did enjoy stay! It's a nice place and the pool an spa really make it a tranquil place! Room was satisfactory but had to ask for new kettle and there was wee on toilet an satins on wall in bath room along with blocked sink an no air con so was a wet room ! If cleanliness was just that bit better an decor updateed would be a excellent place!

Rooms were very clean, food was absolutely lovely, the only thing i would change is the layout in the dining area for getting teas and coffees at breakfast as it was very congested and not enough space to get your drinks! but apart from this i would definitely stay here again! Many thanks for a nice chilled out stay.
