Room was adequate but small to our liking, but we had tons of luggage which made it a bit tight. The restaurant was very nice, but it was difficult to get them to seat us. We were there prior to any one there so I did not understand what was going on. Finally we got to eat a great dinner and enjoy the beautiful sunset.

We had booked this hotel because it was fairly close to the main train station, which we ended up not using, but it was still a good location - close enough to the Colosseum and a short taxi ride to popular areas such as the Spanish steps. We loved the buffet breakfast, which always had a great variety to choose from, and the views from the rooftop restaurant can't be beat!

The A/C in our room did not work properly but the second night was immediately fixed by bringing in two portable units and on the third night, it was fixed. The breakfast was very good and the rooftop bar was absolutely beautiful

Wonderful location, very walkable area. The short grey haired woman behind the desk was very rude and was never nice. We asked her if we could borrow an adapter and she said the hotel never loans those out because people steal them. Our friend also staying in the hotel was then loaned one from another hotel staff. This woman is losing that hotel business. I will not stay here again because of her behavior. Breakfast was very nice overlooking the city from the rooftop terrace. Nice hotel but not worth the money when you have staff that are not accommodating whatsoever. Sorry Mecenate Palace, never again.

The Mecenate is my favorite hotel in Rome. Each of my stays has been excellent. The staff is helpful and friendly. The location is perfect. The rooftop breakfast is very good, alone withthe amazing views of Rome.

My room with a view and balcony was amazing. Could wake up and see Saint Mary Major and very close to the train station to travel. The breakfast was wonderful, and we visited many nearby churches.

This is a beautiful hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful. Love room 410 with the view of the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore absolutely outstanding and is the view from their rooftop restaurant 👏 we walked to the coliseum which was amazing. The bus stop outside hotel m, bus 590 takes you to the Vaction museum 5 min walk. Or the Metro and main bus centre is only 5 mins walk with so many options to travel around Rome. Perfect location for everywhere. We will definitely stay at this hotel again and fo

We loved the location of this hotel. Because of its proximity to Santa Maria Maggiore and Termini station, we could get literally anywhere in the city by train, bus, or hop-on-hop-off bus. The basilica is gorgeous at sunset and lit up at night and a trip to the roof bar is a must, although I would not recommend the restaurant which was overpriced with terrible service. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is older and a little shabby and the rooms are tiny, but charming and very clean. If you plan on spending a lot of time in your room or want to be in the middle of the Roman nightlife, this is not your place. We loved that it was tucked away a bit and thoroughly enjoyed our daily cappuccino with a view of the basilica.
