Pool area doesnt match the rest of the hotel, hotel was very nice. Evening meal in the bar area was excellent but the tables where not kept clean, staff seemed very over worked. Room was brilliant and all staff really friendly.

NEEDS BETTER ATTENTION
It's a very nice looking hotel that just needs a little more attention to detail. I reported missing items from oyr room, but they weren't replaced. I had a window that wouldn't close, but received no help or offer to change room. My room door had a gap that you could pass 4 credit cards through, but again no response despite the security risk. Otherwise, a lovely stay.

This hotel is great. They have certainly done the place out to high standard. The rooms are spotlessly clean with loads of extra nice touches all over the place. The food in the antler restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced give. The standard of the hotel. It came quickly and the waiting staff were efficient friendly and conscientious. We had 2 children who enjoyed the pool and the park on site as well as giant jenga in the bar. Thanks to all the staff that made us welcome.

Stunning hotel We got an amazing deal for a single night for 3 rooms. Having just completwd a tour of the North coast 500 on bikes we were looking for a nice hotel for our last noght before heading home. This one did not disappoint Immaculate throughout The rooms are stunning Food in the bar was delicious too

Such great value - thoroughly enjoyable stay
Myself and a friend had a wonderful one night stay as a stopover coming back to Yorkshire from Edinburgh. Beautiful surroundings (great views from our window) with extremely comfortable beds in the room (firm but soft - which is my preference). I enjoyed a pre breakfast swim in the pool and the lovely countryside views from the jacuzzi. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices - we definitely didn't need lunch. All the staff encountered throughout our stay were attentive and friendly. The tiniest thing that stood out was that some of the edges of furniture in the room/bathroom were looking a little tired and the skirting board under the window would benefit from a paint touch up. Also the lights were all linked so you couldn't isolate each beds bedside light - but these things really were minor - and as I say they stood out because everything else was excellent. I felt the whole thing was extremely good value topped off by the fact there were Yorkshire teabags in the room!

Lovely Hotel and Stay
We stayed at Derwent as a base for exploring Northumbria. The hotel is set within a large and beautiful green space. Very clean and modern interior. The restaurant (bar) served great comfort food at very reasonable prices. Recommend including the breakfast in the reservation - high quality english breakfast buffet to start each day. We will be returning for our next trip “up north”, hopefully in August. 5/5 stars! Loved it!
