Firstly, all the positives but, unfortunately ending with a negative. On arrival, I was greeted by a friendly and efficient receptionist. Booking in was very easy and I was given a map of the island and a booklet of things to see and do. My room is very clean and spacious with a queen size bed, furniture, sufficient storage, lovely bathroom with bath/shower and complimentary bathroom items. Kettle, tea, coffee milk etc are also in the room. Balcony with 2 chairs and a table. LG tv with remote. Everyone is helpful, friendly, efficient and courteous, from the restaurant staff, bar staff and housekeeping. Many thanks to Patricia at breakfast time. Very friendly and efficient, a cut above the rest. Choice of food is extensive for breakfast and dinner. There is a buffet and/or table service with menu at breakfast. Well equipped bar with bar meals which are excellent. However, I do have a negative. I have a balcony with 4 chairs and a table. There is also a 9 hole golf course close to the hotel with driving range and putting green. The downside is that I am not allowed to have a cigarette on the balcony. If I do, I will be subject to a £100 fine. I feel that this is a violation of my human rights and that the hotel is prejudiced against smokers. Throughout my travels around the world, with my late wife and now just myself, we/I always had/have a room with a balcony. On that balcony there were 2 chairs, a table and an ashtray.
