Longere With Heated Pool

Detached longere situated in it's own mature gardens, with lovely views and plenty of parking space.
There is a fantastic heated swimming pool with decking area for relaxing on, equipped with comfortable loungers, table and chairs and a barbeque.
The longere has 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. A large comfortable sitting room following through to a large open plan kitchen/dining area with a utility room attached.
There is a family bathroom and separate toilet upstairs with an en-suite shower room provided in the bedroom on the ground floor, also there are separate toilet facilities downstairs.
For use outside you will find plenty of bikes of differing sizes, a full size table tennis table, portable badminton net and racquets and a large trampoline.
We are located within walking distance of the village of St Gonnery which has all the basics i.e. bakers,village shop, restaurants and bars.
You are only 15 mins. drive from the larger towns of Loudeac and Pontivy. If you like to explore there are many lovely towns to visit within comfortable driving distance such as Vannes, Quimper, Lorient and St Brieuc. Lac de Guerledan and the Nantes/Brest canal are also close by for water sports, kayaking and fishing etc. A fishing license can be obtained on-line. Horse riding can be found in the Forest of Loudeac.
Please note that the swimming pool is only in use from the end of May to the end of September.
Free wi-fi is available also a discount for use on Brittany Ferries, please ask for details.

Wonderful secluded retreat
We had at great time here in the private and spacious grounds. Much of our time was spent on the terrace under the very versatile red umbrella that shaded us from the sun and kept us dry in the many showers we had during our stay. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we had no trouble cooking there every night. Very comfortable beds in every room. The village itself was very pleasant, the local shop was walkable and had good fresh bread available. The canal nearby also proved a lovely picnic spot.

Just Heaven
We stayed at this property 2 years ago and it was just as amazing as the previous stay. The house and grounds are presented in immaculate order. All down to the owner Jamie, and his fantastic aunt and uncle Chris and Mike who are so lovely and welcoming. We will definitely be back for a 3rd stay in the future.

Beautiful house with beautiful grounds but there are some issues with the property. Beware the owner will reply the same day if you have any issues prior to your holiday. After that texts and emails go unanswered. The trampoline has seen better days, some of it broken, dirty and rusty – this was out of use for us. The pool went down at least 2-3 inch every day, clearly leaking – the owner was more bothered about how much water costs in France. The Vrbo description said bikes of all ages. All very small for children and most punctured. The decking lights and pool lights didn’t work. The decking is very unsafe and bouncy with some bits sticking up. The lilos in the shed were either popped or mouldy. The shed light near the pool doesn’t work and neither does the plug. The radio in the kitchen also doesn’t work. The dish washer doesn’t work. The property smells fusty, even clothes in the case came home with the fust and we came home with bad chest. After sitting on settee a lot of us were covered in bites. The sky tv needs updating as it kept saying insert viewing card meaning we only had a few channels to choose from. The Vrbo advert also mentions the lake/pond at the property yet when we arrived there was a sign on the gate saying keep out danger. Damp in the property – needs a very deep clean.

Nice area
The garden and pool were well kept. House most things you need. Chris and Mike, lovely friendly couple, and although they are an hour were only too happy to help with any problems straightaway. The house although very clean is looking its age and some of the furniture, in the lounge, needs updating/refurbishing. This however did not stop us from enjoying our stay weather was pretty good and so was the fishing.

we chose this cottage for the second year and it did not dissapoint.the beautiful area is surpassed by the well kept grounds and cottage. Our son,daughter in-law and grandson were meant to stay with us but work commitments meant they were unable to make the trip. At Gonnery Farmhouse
The farmhouse is very comfortable and extremely well equipped, the gardens are well kept, and the swimming pool is great with plenty of garden furniture. If you require peace and tranquility the farmhouse is a must.

We’ve stayed at various properties in France, and this has to be one of, or possibly the best! Great initial communication with the hosts. The property sits in large secluded grounds. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved chilling by the pool most days in the quiet grounds. Local amenities were good and the local scenery is fantastic. Great for cycling, running/walking along the Rigole d’hilvern. We’ll definitely be looking to return.

Highly recommended - lovely place to relax and central location for days out.
Lovely place, spacous and comfortable and with gorgeous garden and heated pool. We really enjoyed our holiday - great central location for day trips to any corner of Brittany, but we also spent some of our time relaxing at the property and particularly enjoyed the pool and garden. It's worth being aware that this is an older building and has some steps to be aware of if you have mobility issues - I personally prefer houses that have a bit of character, but it's also a comfortable, spacous place to relax, and is well equipped, with some nice extras including table tennis table, bikes etc. Highly recommended.

This property ticked all our boxes as a family, with its three bedrooms (1 downstairs for the grandparents). The traditional interior might not be to everyones taste but we liked it. The indoor spaces are large and relaxing. The property has plenty of space outside and the pool is amazing. The owner Jamie and his aunt and uncle were a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back in the future.

A wonderful house in a wonderful setting. It was like being in paradise for 2 weeks. We swam in the pool and watched the butterflies and bees in the flowers. We played cards and snuggled up on the sofas in the evenings. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio and bbq for tea! The house has everything you need for a wonderful and relaxing holiday. It was beautifully clean and the gardens are lovely. The pool is amazing, the children didn’t want to get out! The house is so spacious and the beds so comfortable. Lovely secluded house
This is a lovely traditional house with a large swimming pool and superb garden. We enjoyed our stay and was very lucky with the weather. The local shops are really handy and the lake in the village is great for fishing. Supermarkets close by at Pontivy.

Wonderful house in a stunning setting
This was our first experience with HomeAway and certainly won't be the last. The house was absolutely wonderful, a real home from home, with everything you could possibly wish for. On sunny days we lounged by the pool, and on rainy days we curled up with blankets in the beautiful lounge, with the largest sofas we have ever seen! Our children adored the enormous garden, the trampoline, the table tennis, bikes, pool inflatables and board games. The village with its very well stocked shop and bakery is an easy 15 min walk (once we discovered the short cut through the woods!), and there is plenty to see in the area. (Highly recommend Josselin with its fairytale castle.) If we ever come back to Brittany, this is the first place we would book. Thank you again for a wonderful holiday.
