The only criticism was that breakfast seemed to be a bit unorganised. Multiple areas were empty for the duration we were in there, and two of the coffee machines were out of order meaning a long wait for a drink. It just needed a few more staff to support as there was a wedding party the night before. The pool was pleasant and quiet, and the hotel room was absolutely spot on.

Huge impressing grounds but then a tiny pool and nothing behing the hotel so nowhere to really go for a walk. Rooms don't have AC so it was HOT (though they do provide a fan). On the plus side, the staff are amazing and try and help out even when things go wrong at dinner (over crowded one night and took forever the next)! Great location for Winchester and surrounding.

A very pleasant stay at Norton Park
It was our first stay at Norton Park Hotel. we were taking our puppy first time out of our home, initially we worried either he can cope up with new atmosphere and rooms. The hotel is dog friendly and Oscar had his own bed and they are charing 25 per day and stayed for 2 days. Dogs are not allowed in restaurant, however, you can have your breakfast in hallway first floor. Their new restaurant is opening soon, may be they will allow in, we had a lovely time. Norton Park is a beautiful location! Our room was spacious and clean, I love the Gym and well maintained. There are paths around the pond and Health Club & Spa. Great walks behind the hotel for river views and good to walk with your dogs.

Could do better
No toilet rolls or hand towels when we arrived. Room smelt and still does. We checked in on time but had a family dinner so went out. Got back late and room still smelt but couldn’t be bothered to change it. When I mentioned to the chap on reception that we had no toilet paper all I got was I’m busy. He should have said “give me 2 minutes and I’ll sort it”. Then I would not have got annoyed.

We stayed for a two night stay. The Friday we ate at the restaurant and the service was shocking. We waiting 20 mins for someone to take our order and then another 30 mins for our drinks. Two staff were just standing around. I am celiac and I had the crab with two pieces of bread. You needed at least a whole piece of bread as loads of crab and no bread to mop it up. We then had burgers which again we waited a long time for the food and it was average. The chips were cold and the burger was dry. We would have said something but just no staff around. Such a shame. The Friday night there was a group of people up until all hours talking and laughing so annoying. We then left our room and put out the freshen up sign and no one went in our room so dirty cups for the next morning. Just not great service
