Worst experience yet

We didn’t end up staying here b/c I had the option to pay when I arrived drove 6 hours had a late arrival b/c went after work and had traffic. Got to the hotel after driving that length of time was ready to unload and make our way to find something to eat. When arriving they had given are room away, didn’t bother to call me I found out after arriving not to mention the circles we made and the time we spent in the parking garage. Very frustrating b/c the app showed I had reservations as a matter fact it still listed in my app along with the other one we ended up staying at.

Staff was great. I believe the gentleman’s name was either Adam or Aaron, he checked me in quickly and seamlessly! My wife and I enjoyed our river view room. Breakfast was great and Juan managed the dining room very well despite it being very busy on New Years Day. He was calm and welcoming although many guests were borderline rude and definitely impatient. This will be the only place I stay in San Antonio!

Overall was good but I believe needs more cleaning in the common area, carpet was dirty on the corners and by the rooms front door.

Location, view was great. Ridiculous to have to pay $34 per day to park, and hotel didn’t even offer coffee in the lobby. Had to pay $4 for a cup with no refill. Floors were filthy, just walking barefoot in the room turned your feet black. Halls had dirty build up on sides. Suggestions mop the floors in the room, and vacuum the halls. Provide complimentary coffee for guests. Stop the outrageous parking fees.

I have stayed at this property several times in the past, the last time was about 3 years ago because of its easy access to the River Walk and walking distance to most attractions. I booked a suite that smelled like sewerage and since we were there for New Year, all; rooms were booked and they could not change our room, worst of all , there is no exhaust in the bathroom. Staff was great, very empathetic, sent janitor to put chemicals to kill the smell but it did not work.
