The property in nice and right in downtown so you can walk to near attractions. The bed was very comfortable. What i didn't like is that house keeping was not done one single day during my stay. I had to go to the front desk to request at least thw trash cans to be emptied. Breakfast was not as good as i read in some other comments. Potatoes seemed to be there for many days, no yogurt 2 out of the 3 days i stayed there. I won't recommend staying here.

Loudest construction noise ever! Bed is hard as a rock. Parking is valet os alot. The lot next to the building is a lot for 12 hours and more for additional 8hrs. There's only a shower and no bath tub. At least the room was clean. Also a clicking noise all night. You can't sleep at all.

Nice sized suites only problem was ac not functioning during the night and most of the day. spoke to front desk and staff said they would have maintenance the next morning to take a look after the ac after it failed all night and had to sleep without conditioning . Are car even took 45 min to get back from the valat had to wait in their hot lobby

Everything about the room was great. Even more amazing was that the mattress was new and I slept soundly. The reason for the poor review was the breakfast. First, it was late. Not all the breakfast items were out until 45 minutes after the time we were told at check-in. Next, I highly suspected that many of the food items were leftover from the day before, specifically the salsa options and pico-de-gallo. I suspected this because I was the first to make a breakfast taco after it was brought out, and there was already cheese in the salsa (they bring out the taco toppings (are they called toppings?) all in the same tray, the cheeses and salsas all together); this could only have happened if the salsa was reused from the day before. I lost my appetite and stopped eating.

The included hot breakfast is excellent, offering a variety of tasty options to start the day, including all the common breakfast staples, plus breakfast tacos and fresh fruit. While the rooms are on the smaller side and lack extensive closet space, they’re comfortable enough for a short stay. We stayed for one night. The creaky wood floors and echoey hallways add to the hotel’s historic character, though they can make for a noisier experience. Overall, Hotel Gibbs is a charming and convenient base for a San Antonio getaway at a fair price.
