Unready Room/ Mosquito Problems/ Terrible Sewage Smell in the bathroom! My family booked the Ocean View Suite for one night (Thank God, it was only one night stay). So this is what happened: after we checked in around 4 pm, all the lightings inside our room were not working and the sewage smell in the bathroom was terrible so we immediately requested the room change. Unfortunately, the hotel's receptionist told us that the entire hotel rooms were booked for that night and that the refund was unavailable. In regards to the problems with the lightings, hotel's electrician came by and told us that it may take a few hours to fix and that he has to work inside our room so we were asked to leave the room for a few hours. During the three hours of waiting, we did not receive any calls back from the hotel notifying us whether or not the problem has been resolved. Instead, my husband had to constantly call and check with the hotel to see if the room is ready. Almost around 8 pm, we were able to return to our room. Again, the bathroom had a terrible sewage smell, and besides that we weren't able to sleep at all due to the mosquito problems! (My husband caught 4 mosquitos in about 30 minutes at midnight.) I wonder why there was a mosquito repellent spray inside our room. This tells us that previous customers must have complained about the mosquito problems to the hotel and the hotel had knowledge about it so they placed the repellent spray inside the room.
