This cozy cabin is the ideal spot to settle into and enjoy your next trip to Black Butte Ranch. This home features a central living area with a large brick fireplace making it the perfect place to relax with a good book or to play one of the many board games for family game nights. When you're ready to head outside, the private back deck and hot tub are the ideal location to take in some of Central Oregon’s sunny weather.

This home is conveniently located just a half-mile from both the Glaze Meadow Sports Complex with its sports courts and fitness center, and the South Meadow pools. The ranch offers over 18 miles of paved bike paths and is home to two world-class golf courses. For shopping, dining and more activities, head into the charming town of Sisters just 10 miles east of Black Butte.

The house was not cleaned properly, with dust covering window sills, baseboards, and lamps.
This home is extremely dated with old squeaking beds, lumpy living room furniture, and difficult bathroom fixtures. The whole house needs a remodel to bring it up to Black Butte standards. I rent a house here every year, and this is by far the worst. The bikes weren't rideable, grill cover was in shreds, and filthy outdoor furniture topped it off. I don't come on vacation to spend the first day cleaning the house. The one redeeming feature was the brand new washer/dryer.

Black Butte Ranch cabin
In peak of the year you want to make sure the AC unit is functioning properly. The line set kept freezing up and wasn’t insulated. However we had a great time staying at this cabin. Very close to main pool with lots of bike paths to enjoy. Would absolutely stay here again.

For what you are paying, this is a great cabin. Great location, close to GM pool and aspen lakes. It is not as nice as some others I have stayed at, but it was a lot cheaper. Exactly what we needed for two parents and a bunch of teens. Property manager, you might want to check with homeowners about the septic system issue. Seems that the homeowners have not kept it up, the ranch had to come out multiple times to clean out the septic system. Fine with us, but some other people may prefer to stay in a home that the owners have kept up with the septic system maintenance....... All in all we had a marvelous stay. Thank you! We love Black Butte.

Major Cleanliness and Management Communication Issues
When we arrived, we found: - Cans underneath the bed -Bandaid -Sticky drink residue on table - lint balls - Pubic hair - Expiring meat in refrigerator drawer This property is managed by Vacasa. We tried to communicate with Vacasa by text, phone call, and email (multiple times with each) and never reached anyone who was able to actually do anything for us. We received a partial refund, but I only noticed in my credit card account - No one from Vacasa ever communicated it to us! I'm not usually one to write harsh reviews, but we will really be avoiding them from now on when possible. The cabin itself though was cozy and comfy and cute!

May Girls Weekend
The overall experience was ok. The black widow nest the the bedroom and moldy shower curtain were not nice but we killed the spider and house keeping came and took care of the shower curtain. The floors were not that clean but most of the surfaces were ok. The hot tub never really heated up no matter what we did so we gave up on it.

Overall my parents said the house was very clean and nice.
My parents were the only ones able to stay. They said the house was very clean and they had made a few improvements since it is a little older and most was original. They loved the hot tub. We would stay again.

All of the houses were in an area with lots of pine trees. Each house was very private. Didn't use the hot tub because it was pretty cold outside, but the cabin inside was gorgeous. Loved it. Would like to return someday.

Cozy cabin with an excellent location.
My friends and I rented this cabin to serve as a home base for our weekend ski trip and, overall, we were very pleased with our experience. The space was just the right size, it was clean, had more than enough sleeping room, and the location was positively stellar (just 17 miles from hoodoo ski resort). However, The 9 dollar daily fee was an added expense beyond the listed and anticipated price which was a little surprising. Furthermore, many of the amenities which we were being charged for were either not realistically viable because of COVID or inaccessible/closed. And some of the appliances were a little finicky (such as the stovetop light being constantly on even when nothing was hot). Other than that, perfect getaway retreat.

Needs some basic updates
House and location are great but home is in need of some basic maintenance and upgrades mainly in the bathrooms. One shower handle didn't work at all and we had to use a vise grip to get it to turn on and off and the other shower was very hard to turn on and totally off without it dripping.

This property was accurately described in the listing. All the hidden fees were a bit unexpected. Vacasa was great to credit us back the hot tub fee, since the jets weren't working. Cabin in the Pines was very cozy, plenty of blankets & places to sit perfect for 4 people. We had everything we needed. I still don't understand why we were charged for use of the Black Butte facility since we didn't use anything, other than walking around the neighborhood. But the place was great!

Worn out house, poorly managed, never use Vacasa again
Upholstery, dishes dirty. Kitchen poorly supplied (Seven dinner plates, 4 bowls for a place that can sleep eight?) and dirty. Mattresses very worn, rooms very small. Cheapo appliances, somewhat working. Hot tub controls broken. All in all this place needs better management supervision. It didn't compare at all to our previous stays at BBR managed properties.

Great Location!
This cute house has a great location within walking/biking distance to the big pool complex. Would definitely stay again. The only semi-critical things I’d note are that the upstairs floor is pretty creaky, so not a great fit for light sleepers if people will be using the bathroom at night, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend cooking anything like real bacon in the kitchen as the vent fan doesn’t vent outside so anything smoky or strong smelling would definitely be trapped in the house. All in all though, the house is cute, very cozy, and quite functional.
