Our second time staying at the Strathaven Hotel for work and it was just as goid as i remember. A genuinely friendly and welcoming hotel with amazing food and a touch of class. Already looking forward to our next trip up there!

Charming staff but building deserves upgrading.
Best features were the food, the restaurant and the friendliness of the staff. There have been brave attempts to refurbish this 18th century country house focused mainly on the wedding business. The rooms need an upgrade and the work done to modernise the bathrooms is decidedly ‘cheap and cheerful’. Biggest problem is the building itself and the vast of investment that the management would need to commit for the refurbishment this grand old building deserves.

Great place to relax
A one night stay to recharge the batteries after a hectic few days. We had our wedding at this hotel 50 years ago and our golden wedding get-together here this spring, so this had to be the place to chill ! Not disappointed. Good food and helpful staff.

Room was ok but needing to pay attention to the bedding the covers do not fit properly not made up properly and the right size of cover and sheets for the bed would help, very untidy I have mentioned this previously as I have been allocated the same room three times maybe I’m being fussy apart from that the young lady at reception was extremely helpful
