Renovations to the building were not advised to me (although hotel said they advised Expedia). So my balcony room not available. I was given a room many cost levels below what I paid for. Initially nothing said to me by the staff. After 1 night, they were able to shift me to a room similar to what I paid for, but no balcony. I requested a letter from the Manager to explain the situation in case I needed it for a later reference. No letter received and he left it up to the staff to tell me. The Manager said it was up to me to follow up with Expedia to get a refund. No idea how much. Really! ... they should be sorting it out, not me. Manager said he did not have my credit card details ... so what! He could still have initiated the discussions with Expedia. Now I will have to waste my time and energy with no certainty of a satisfactory outcome. And it sounded like other people were in the same situation. Otherwise hotel ok.

"The bizarre use of Denglish as a language grates a bit... trying too hard to be cool. But that's the only niggle, everything else was fine. The rooms could do with more and better lighting, especially for those of us who have to work on holiday. Loved the free early bird coffee on the roof terrace ..."
