The lobby area of the property was nice. Once the elevator doors opened and we walked into the hallway, things changed. One of the nearby apartments had a dog that viciously barked as we walked to our apartment door. The door lock didn't fit the door and protruded out from the door itself.
Inside our apartment, the room smelled unclean. Next, the floors were some kind of vinyl laminate that was coming up and didn't lay flat on certain areas throughout. The cloth chairs around the dinning room table were stained. The shower curtain in the bathroom also had stains on it too. Also, some of the window blinds were missing the wand to open and close them or the wand was broken and left on the windowsill. Not to mention, the Wi-Fi network we were told to use did not exist, so there was no Wi-Fi available.
The apartment is old and it showed as we walked though. The kitchen was cramped, there was leftover food in the closet and we found a cockroach in the dishwasher when we opened it which was the last straw. My Wife and I did not stay overnight, we left the place after being there for 30 minutes and had to find a new place to stay the night.
We called Barsala shortly after arriving, told them we were not staying and they offered us another unit, but we declined and asked for a refund. Barsala told us to contact Expedia first and then Expedia would contact Barsala about the refund. A few days later we get an email from Expedia saying that Barsala denied the refund request.
