Purcari Retreat
Dont recommed at all. Stay away
1 / 5
I had high hopes for Purcari Retreat, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. None of the staff spoke English, which made communication very difficult. The most concerning issue was the water—it smelled like rotten eggs in both the shower and sink, making it impossible to shower or even brush our teeth. On top of that, dogs were barking all night, making it impossible to sleep. We paid over €300 for two rooms, and while the grounds are nice, I cannot recommend this place. Instead, I suggest staying at the nearby Chateau Purcari, where we had no water issues, and the restaurant was fantastic.
