make sure you request a quiet room
We booked a De Lux Double room and found Bed comfortable Pillows old and without substance that went flat as soon as you put your head on them. No air Con or fan ( very hot night) The only ventilation was one window opening onto the garden where the noise was so loud from residents/drinker until midnight that it was impossible to sleep. no double glazing so even when closed the noise was bad. It would take a lot of persuasion for me to stay there again (including ear plugs) Staff great but when we ordered a coffee in the garden the next day they "forgot" but genuinely apologised

A nice place to stay.
A nice place for a break in the New Forest. Lovely character room with comfortable bed and pillows. Very attentive staff made you feel valued. A good breakfast in a light and airy room was a pleasure.

Hotel has a lot of character and is right in the centre of Lydhurst within easy walking distance of lots of places to eat and some interesting shops. Generous sized room and bathroom. We were given a room at the front which could be noisy because of the road but overnight very quiet. Room had air con but that was just as noisy! Didn’t use the restaurant but it looked good. Breakfast is served in a different room which was very sunny and attractively decorated. Buffet style with lots of choice and quality was ok. Car park can get busy but we always managed to get a space. All staff very polite and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would use the hotel again.

Great New Forest Stay.
The hotel was lovely. It’s a really nice hotel, great location being in the centre of Lyndhurst but surprisingly ample parking too, behind the hotel. Staff were really helpful and attentive. Peter at the front desk and Danielle in the restaurant and bar stood out the most due to their friendliness and attentiveness. Our room was a little tired, could do with some general paint and decorating. Otherwise the bed was very comfortable, all very clean and a large room. Would definitely visit again.
