The location was excellent and the reception staff were very helpful. The continental breakfast was very over-priced.On the first day, we were charged the same amount for both a child and an adult. On the second day, the price was slightly reduced for my daughter. One of the waitresses was very unhelpful. The public areas of the hotel smelt of cigarette smoke.

Very impressive old fashioned Swiss hotel. Excellent service - kind and sympathetic. The three of us (me and the two kids) were very comfortable in a family room and we had dinner in the restaurant. I had an excellent steak tartare as an entree followed by a Weinershnitzel! Delicious! And with a 20 % discount and some free drinks terrific value! The kids and I highly recommend this place. And don't forget the breakfast! Fantastic! Excellent birch muesli - classic Swiss stuff done so well!

As soon as we arrived to check in the concierge was warm and welcoming. The check in process was simple and efficient whilst being detailed and helpful in answering our questions. We received a free Gluhwein at the hotel’s bar after dropping our luggage in our room. The room was beautifully decorated with interesting antiques throughout the hotel. We used the stairs, even though we were on the top floor, just so we could look at the decorations on each floor. Overall we had an excellent stay and would return happily.
