Sydney Train:
Gowan Brae is a 9 minute walk from Katoomba train station. Trains arrive frequently from Sydney Central Station via the Blue Mountains line.
Traveling by train takes approx. 2 hours, depending on the time of day. The timetable can be viewed online at Transport NSW Info Route Details.
Driving from Sydney:
Heading west, travel along Parramatta Rd onto the M4 Western Motorway.
(If travelling from Sydney along the M2, continue onto the M7 and then turn right onto the M4 Western Motorway.)
Continuing along the M4, drive past the exit to Penrith and then the road will ascend up into the Blue Mountains. Continue driving through the townships of Glenbrook, Blaxland, Warrimoo, Springwood, Lawson, Bullaburra, Wentworth Falls and Leura.
Katoomba is the next town after Leura. Turn left onto Parke St at the set of lights. Turn right onto Jewel Lane and then left onto Cascade St. Turn right onto Gates Ave. Travel a short distance and you will see number 5 Gates Ave on the right hand side.

Driving from Sydney's international or domestic airports:
Peak hour traffic in Sydney can be heavy, thus these times could easily double.
Departing from the airport, follow the signs to the M5 (sign for Canberra).
Travel along the M5 for approx. 20 mins to the M7 (sign for Blacktown).
Turn right onto the M7.
Travel along the M7 for approx. 20mins.
Turn left onto the M4.
