Hotels with Indoor Pools in Takayama

I'm hesitant to recommend Takayama because one of its charms is that it is off the beaten track, and who wants more people there to spoil this? But, in truth, the town is a wonderful place, and this hotel was very good. We came from Tokyo so were delighted to find a very large room, very clean, and very comfortable. The hotel is right next to the train and bus station so could not be more convenient, and within easy walking distance of just about everything that Takayama has to offer, including eating places, the historic district, and museums and shopping. Hida Folk Village is about 1.2 km away, and easily accessible by bus, but we decided to walk. Definitely worth looking at. The historic district is fantastic and the main shopping street very interesting. The staff at the hotel were friendly and approachable, and the room super comfortable. There are no breakfast options, but there is an excellent coffee/breakfast place next door. All in all, an excellent experience in Takayama itself and at this hotel.

It is a very nice hotel. It is worth the money. The breakfast buffet is superb The hot spring is so nice I will definitely stay in this hotel when i visit takayama again Highly recommended!
