Great Stay
Such a wonderful stay - had a bottle of wine on the porch and watch the birds play in the garden. Walked to the winners in easy reach and had a fantastic lunch. So good.

Tanunda Cottage
Cozy cottage, perfect for two couples. Fantastic wood fire for winter and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Close enough to walk into Tanunda or some close wineries but also quiet and secluded.

A beautiful home in an awesome picturesque location.
We had a wonderful time staying at Hanisch Haus. The location is perfect for a day of winery visits and the house so cosy and perfect for 2 couples. Our only retreat was not being able to spend more time at the house itself. Thank you Cynthia for your hospitality.

What a great place to stay and enjoy Barossa. Beautiful surroundings, accomodation was perfect, clean and tidy and the hosts couldn't make you feel more welcome, fresh flowers, a welcome bottle of wine, much appreciated, everything you need to have a hearty breakfast (including eggs laid by their own lovely ladies😊) before going out to sample the fine wines surrounding the area. A little like stepping back in time but with all the mod cons.Definitely need a car to do the wineries or book a day trip, nothing really within walking distance. Make sure to visit Maggie Beers, such a lovely setting and a great cheese board and selection of wines. Couldn't fault our stay here, should have booked longer, perhaps next time 😉

A wonderful break
Our stay at Hanisch House was brilliant. The property is comfortable, well appointed, has an excellent fireplace, and a lovely rustic feel. The position is perfect for exploring the Barossa. The breakfast provisions were generous and we also received a cracking bottle of Red. Cynthia and Rolf are excellent hosts - communication was quick and clear, and Rolf also provided some great recommendations. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place to stay
For a group of 4 this cottage was perfect. It has a lovely charm and the fireplace was excellent. Cynthia was great and very communicative. Additionally when our car battery went flat she was so helpful and managed to source us some jumper cables to get back in action. Overall great place and will certainly be back.

Gorgeous character cottage in a fabulous location
We loved our stay in Hanisch Haus in the heart of the Barossa! Perfectly located just outside Tanunda amongst the vineyards and stones throw from the owners’, Rolf and Cynthia’s, cellar door, Rolf Binder winery. The cellar door is a must visit too as their wines are outstanding! They even provide a complimentary bottle along with plentiful, full breakfast provisions. Very comfortable accommodation, well equipped and superb fireplace for those cosy winter nights. Fantastic communication with Cynthia. Highly recommend staying at Hanisch Haus and Rolf Binder wines and looking forward to a return visit.

Charming, well kept, thoroughly enjoyable and great location!
We had a wonderful time staying at Hanisch Haus. It’s a cosy, charming place in a perfect location - close enough to walk to town but not right in the hustle and bustle. The hosts were simply magnificent- so accommodating, so lovely to deal with and we will most definitely be back.
