Really nice place. the refurbished "superior" rooms are much nicer than the old dated ones. the pine clad rooms and african themed hallways have definately had thier day, but they new rooms in lighter colours much more modern and spacious feeling. on site bar and restaurant were surprisingly good too, had a really nice meal here. Just dont expect breakfast. unfortunately the advertised breakfast restaurant is only open on weekends, so we were dissapointed we couldnt eat here on a thursday morning (this is not advertised anywhere. or even mentioned in in-room breakfast menu). if it wasnt for that would have given 5 stars. really enjoyed the hot spa pool in the evening after coming back from cycling that day

The room was very small and very hot - however there was a fan provided which was great. The only crockery in the room was glasses, cups and teaspoons, but on request I was provided with some plates, knives, folks and spoon. Overall the location was awesome and the price was great compared to others around it. The Social Club meals were lovely and reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly.

Cosy property, no aircond which on a warmer night made sleeping difficult. A fan was provided which helped. Pool was good for kids, spa was outdated and dirty. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would we stay again - Yes. Expectations met the fee paid

Staff were great. Nice big fridge and freezer. But the bedside tables in the double bed room could be straightened to sit level. The kitchen floor was not very clean. More counter space in bathroom would be good.The room could do with some TLC.The mattress could do with being replaced. Oherwise ok thanks.for lication and cost.

I had a basic room so was accepting of the "basic" conditions. It was very clean, however several things could have been improved. the sheets looked a slight grey instead of crisp bright white. Throw over was very flat and needed replacing. Facilties available satisfactory. The kettle kept overloading the multi plug. Taps in the wash basin were loose. No plug for the bath tub. Carpet looked a little stained. When I looked out the window the exterior could do with a wash.

Good, clean room. Shower could have used more water pressure but can't be helped. Motel needs more parking. Otherwise, great location and cheap stay. Service was great, including the fluffy little gentleman at reception who graciously accepted pats!

Decent accommodation in great location
This is a great option in Taupo. Price was very competitive and we enjoyed a good 3 night stay here. Good location, good shower and decent Wi-Fi. The walls and ceilings are thin! On the ground floor we could hear all footsteps etc from above, thankfully no one was next door but the corridor was noisy. Thankfully we had good neighbours, it was obvious how different that could be with children next door, parties etc.

Decent, affordable accommodation if you are looking for a short term stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful, however the room we stayed in was on the bottom floor and we were woken up very early by the people in the room above us as we could hear their footsteps loudly from below. The bed and pillows were also not great but alright for the price.
