Relax with the whole family at the Beach Retreat! Enjoy the beautiful Sunrise and Sunsets in the Hot tub overlooking your own private beach. There is plenty to do in the Northern Neck of Virginia! We have Wineries, a Brewery, historical sites, boating, swimming, fires on the beach, bike rides, kayaking, plenty of Summer and Fall Festivals and so many great places to eat on and off the river! The Northern Neck of VA is a hidden gem! Just a 90 minute drive from the DC area. Please do not use the beach area or grass area in front of the open lot to the right of this house. That is private property owned by others.

Rivah trip!
This was a short getaway to the river for some R & R. Very nice location with wonderful view. We enjoyed the deck by the water and the spacious family room. Perfect for our little dogs too! Hope to return at some point!

Fabulous family get away
Can’t say enough about our time here. Lovely little home just right for the family. The perfect amount of activities with the small private beach, paddle boards, kayaks, hot tub and nightly bonfires. Kids loved the community tennis courts and super nice pool. Just what we were looking for.

My husband & our 2 english bulldogs spent an EXTREMELY relaxing week in this beautiful house right on the river! The surrounding location is the best of both worlds. Woods and beach areas. The owner was prompt with answering any questions we had.would definitely stay again!

Great location and amenities for relaxation
My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing long weekend away from our three kids. The location was beautiful and we had a great time. We even brought our huge pop-up tent and put it over the hot tub so we could relax and enjoy the rain and the hot tub but not get dumped on. There were plenty of books to read and games to play. The kitchen is stocked well with glasses, plates, bowls, pots, pans, cutting boards, cutlery, appliances, etc. We brought our paddle boards and paddled across to Cole's Point. All in all a beautiful weekend! We also had great communication with Frank. Thank you again for everything, Frank!

Our family had the BEST time at this beach house! Such a relaxing and enjoyable view. We just returned home, and I miss the tranquility already. Great communication with host and property was exactly as described. Clean, cozy and everything you could need and then some!

Great Weekend Away from DC
The location is quiet but for the lapping of the waves on the private beach. The beach was perfect for sandcastles and playing in the water with my 4 year old. The weather one day was too cool for lounging in the sun, but we wrapped in a quit, made a fire, and listened to the water. Close enough to wineries and a few small towns with restaurants. I'd recommend coming stocked to maximize time enjoying the house. The house was well-stocked with games and things to do in the mild weather.

Perfect long weekend, close to DC
We will be back to this property! Things you want to know: strong water pressure, the beach is actually private, the hot tub is amazing, the views will not disappoint! Check the pollen count if you have allergies, it’s definitely the perfect mix of beach and forest. The neighborhood is very diverse, we felt really safe. Dogs were all leashed on our long walks and the people in the neighborhood were super friendly. We loved everything about it. The kitchen is well stocked, but bring your own oil, condiments, and tin foil. I loved this place, thanks so much Fred!!

Amazing views and great location
My wife and I plus our 2 dogs stayed for an extended weekend. The house is wonderful and well stocked with everything you need to prepare your favorite meals. The beds are so comfortable and I cannot say enough about the back room - windows all around with spectacular views plus your own private beach. The fence is short but kept our dogs from straying and they played hard and slept well. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!

Cozy updated house on the water with a beautiful view.
My husband and I hosted our daughter, her husband and 18 month old for a long weekend retreat. The house was just right with a gorgeous 60 ft long comfortable sunroom where we spent most of the time. There were 2 large tvs and the house had great internet. We ate several meals in and the kitchen is well supplied. Enjoyed other meals at Relish in Warsaw and Angelo’s in Montross. We had interesting outings to Washington’s Birhplace and Stratford Hall Plantation. It was a wonderful place to spend a special weekend with our family.

The View Is Breathtaking!
I booked this vacation based on the photos of the hot tub and backyard view and we were not disappointed! The house is clean and cozy and we all had our favorite spots to really relax. There is not much to do in the area and only a few places to eat close by, but we came well equipped with food and did get out a few days to check out Colonial Beach and Coles Point. You have to check out Picking and Grinning on Kings Highway. It’s a quirky antique oddities store with amazing stuff. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful retreat!
What a beautiful location! We could have sat in the backyard all day long! Paddle boarding , kayaking and relaxing on the beach was pretty much how we spent our week. The neighbors were super friendly too. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation, this is the place !

Fantastic!
We had a fabulous and relaxing week at Frank's place. The house, the view, the private beach, and the wildlife were incredible. The home was perfect for our two families of 4. It had everything we needed to have a relaxing and enjoyable week on the water. The kayaks and paddle boards were provided and much appreciated. The kids just had a blast and none of us wanted to leave. We had a couple of small issues and Frank took care of them right away. The communication was great since day one. Thank you, Frank, we'll come back again!

Peace and Relaxation with Beautiful View
If you are looking for a low key place to spend time relaxing, connecting with family and enjoying the peace and beauty of being on the water, this is the perfect location! The private beach, paddle boards, hot tub, fire pit, fenced yard, outdoor shower head, and convenient community pool and tennis courts gave everyone something to do. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful and the resident neighbors Chris and Mary Jo were very friendly. The view from the River Room porch and master bedroom and yard is simply breathtaking. The house served 4 adults, two teenagers, a child, a toddler, and a dog perfectly. Loved having a duel Kuerig! We rent a VRBO every year for a vacation with our kids and grandkids, and this was my daughter-in-law and my favorite that we’ve had. The setup inside and outside made it so easy to relax with the little ones.

Wonderful Experience and Relaxation at The Beach Retreat
What a wonderful few days we had at this cozy and comfortable cottage. The view is fantastic. The online pictures don't do it justice. The house is very comfortable. You can feel yourself relax almost immediately. Frank, our host, was so quick to respond to any question. He even offered wonderful tips for adventures and experiences for our stay. He really goes the extra yard to make your stay extra enjoyable. We explored the area and found it interesting. My pups loved the yard and house and we all loved the river room. We are really looking forward to a return trip. Thank you Frank for your hospitality in your great house!

Great Waterfront house
This house had every thing we needed. We’ve never stayed in a place that provided all the soap, etc.! The kitchen had everything we needed including sharp knives. The coffee setup was also very appreciated. The location was beautiful, and the birdwatchers had a grand time. The only downside was there was no recycling opportunity nearby.

Perfect place to rest and relax
Communication with the owner was easy and all of my questions were answered in a timely manner. The property is located on the bank of the Potomac river in a quiet neighborhood. The house is very clean and well stocked with everything you need for your stay. The hot tub and private beach were amazing and very clean. Our two dogs loved the fenced in yard along with swimming in the water. Definitely staying here again!!

Exceptional Scenery
Our stay at this beautiful well maintained property was a piece of relaxation needed. The property was clean and inviting. Loved the morning sunrises and the abundant views of the eagles. Looking forward to coming back and take advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards provided by the host.
