The cleaning personnel came at 8:00 a.m. in the morning and demanded me to leave so that they could clean the room. This was incredibly obnoxious as it woke me up and my partner was taking a shower. I requested them to come back one hour later but they were very insisting about coming back 15 minutes later because they had other rooms to clean. The bellman downstairs was rude, kept cursing, and insulted me on my way out when I asked him if it would be okay to return a few hours later for my luggages.

The destination fee is a complete rip-off! We were under the impression they were city taxes or similar. Rather they are hidden fees for essentially basic things like internet. I really did not appreciate the lack of transparency around these cost.

The location was great! Any location where a lot of tourist, there will be people who are unhoused asking for money to survive. We did use our credit on candy due to the bar was CLOSED on our last night. We did get a credit after speaking to the staff. The room was small but doable since we had plans to be out and enjoying ourselves. Our room was near the stairs and which loud at times. Great time in Chicago. We prefer an open bar and restaurant when we traveled, this would be the only reason we did not return back.

Yes we would stay at the Allegro again. Having the lobby not on the ground floor was sorry of an inconvenience but doesn’t really matter. One thing that bothered my is how dirty the windows were in our room. They need cleaned but they’re not a deal breaker either. Bed was super nice and the room was clean!
