very disappointing
We were really looking forward to this as we had booked a year in advance based on 2023 reviews. Sad to say it did not live up to them. The room is badly in need of good workmanship. Like other current reviews we noted the poor repairs, cheap furniture and the edge of the tub was literally shattered and poorly patched. There was nothing in the bedroom on which to hang or store clothing. No luggage rack anywhere. Bed was comfortable but rest of furniture was not. Had to turn the AC on to reduce the heat in the room. Were waken up between 8-8:30 Sunday morning by very loud metal clanging. This was followed by really loud knocking around 9 as police threatened to break down the neighbours' door to evict them. I guess they were the source of the noise we heard up to 3 am and the dog barking. Then when we came back for a rest it was non-stop opening and closing of that door and walkie-talkies on full volume. The bed was great but variety for the pillows would be appreciated. This hotel is in a great location. Recommend the hotel parking as it is the most convenient option. No one was too concerned about what we were experiencing. This was a major birthday stay and we would rather we hadn't come at all. We wouldn't stay here again unless we had no other options.

Excellent location, near restaurants, shopping, public transit, and the public library. Friendly staff. The laundry room was convenient, as my stay was over 3 weeks. I only wish I could change the shower temperature -- it was a bit too hot for me.

When entering the premises I was told by the front desk manager. “I hope you’re not checking in”. This was the first introduction I had. Then I was told that the room keys were malfunctioned and that someone would have come upstairs and I would need them to go in and out of my room… this was a huge hindrance. Then once I was in the “suite” the sofa was broken, there was no ice bucket as I had mention earlier to them could I please have a bag of ice in the room “would pay for it” they told me there would be a bucket In the room and that every floor had an ice machine. This was not true as the top floor did not have any. I then called the front desk to get a couple of toothbrushes (at 11:00pm) and was asked to come downstairs instead since they had no one to come up… I found the customer service absolutely horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The front desk staff were professional and knowledgeable about the systems and procedures of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The mattresses and bedding are clean and extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay there again .

The area and facilities were for-nominal, the staff were very friendly and helpful . The apartment was relatively clean but needed a bigger bin and the hardwood areas need a proper mop between guests. As we stayed over Christmas and spent the day indoors in our socks and by morning end the sock and supplied slipper were both near black and grimy. Some of the supplied furniture wasn’t working either but we did have occasion to use them anyway. The location is still advertising a pool that has long since closed due to city wide Covid restrictions.
