Lovely Home - Wonderful location
Lovely large house near all the D Day landing beaches. The hosts were very welcoming and explained everything about the house. The house had more outside space than we could use and plenty of table and chairs. We had an absolutely wonderful week.

Spacious place a short walk from the beach
Our group of 4 stayed here during the Normandy part of our France trip and it worked out very nicely. The hosts were very kind and helpful, the place was quite spacious and met our needs very well. It was chilly while we were there, so didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it was available. Groceries and restaurants were a short drive away. Very convenient to all the D-Day locations.

The property was clean and in a good position. There were lots of places to sit and have a drink or eat a meal. We did cater for ourselves but found that there were not quite enough suitable baking tins. We also found the beds rather uncomfortable! Overall, we had a lovely time and the property was in just the right place for the places we wanted to visit.

Wonderful location in a quiet sleepy village
A great place to stay, the swimming pool was wonderful and we spent many happy hours in the games room in the evening. There’s so much living space and decking that there was plenty of room to spread out. The owners kindly supplied us with eggs and some drinks on the first day which was a lovely surprise. Would definitely recommend to others that are looking for a central, coastal located part of Normandy.

A great short stay
Spacious, well equipped kitchen and outside. The heated indoor swimming pool was a real bonus. Quiet and well located for d day landings and Bayeux. Some attention needed to the flow of water in bathrooms. The family really enjoyed themselves here.

Family holiday Normandy D Day landing beaches
The location of this property was great. Walking distance to a boulangerie, small supermarket and a bar restaurant. Great for days out to markets, towns and all the D day landing beaches and monuments a d museums. The house was so well equipped with utensils. Crockery and furniture.. outside furniture was first flass quality. The icing on the cake was the pool where the family spent many hours playing water volley ball. The owners were so kind ad helpful including giving us fresh eggs from their hens. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone and we would be happy to return to it again in the fture

Beautiful spacious house and garden in fantastic location
The house is a great space, plenty of seating areas inside and out. The garden is stunning and lovely to sit on the terrace at night. We had a dog and the garden was fully secure so he could run around off lead. We were 5 adults and a dog and had plenty of space. The house has everything you need. The village has supermarket, bakery and butchers. We had a small problem with the toilet and shower in the pool area but it couldn’t be helped and did not affect our enjoyment of the house. We were given fresh eggs from the chickens and plums from the garden, a lovely personal touch from the owners. There is no air conditioning and we arrived in 40degrees heatwave but it cooled down next day and all was well. Highly recommend this house and beautiful surroundings.

Incredible Home with Ocean View
We could barely force ourselves to leave this wonderful home in Ver-Sur-Mer, one of the really lovely coastal villages along the north shore in Normandy. Ghislaine and Herve were absolutely wonderful (and discreet) hosts and their home is unbelievable. First of all, it's IMMACULATE, so clean, and I don't know who the gardener is but the entire house is surrounded in stunning flower gardens. The flow of the house is so nice and there are front and back terraces, a back glassed-in porch, so many great gathering spaces for our family of six adults. We cooked a lot and it was so easy in the well-equipped kitchen; plenty of dishes and utensils for all. Then we'd gather at the front terrace dining table (one of four available in and outside the house) with a view of the ocean across the gardens in the yard and over the roofs of a few other homes. It was cool out too, mid 60s with ocean breezes, just magical. The driveway accommodates several cars and has a very handy backup area to make it easy to get in and out. There are hens in the far backyard and a koi pond. A very good grill is out back too. Bathrooms were plentiful and water pressure was great with lots of hot water. Lots of outlets available throughout house, as well--it's just set up perfectly! The TV works great, you can access netflix and they have channels for kids too. We didn't use the pool but only because we were out so much (did a private day tour of Omaha and Utah Beaches with Overlord Tours, highly recommend). Anyone who rents this home is doing themselves a BIG FAVOR. It's Fantastic. We'd go back in a heartbeat and will recommend this property to everyone. Thank you, Herve and Ghislaine!

The house is a lovely blend of quaint French style with modern appliances and so much more. There are various areas to sit, sunbathe, dine or just admire the views of the sea. Three good size bedrooms, ample living/dining space, large bathroom (no toilet - this is separate)' a kitchen with almost every type of coffee maker, including a senseo, gadgets, dishwasher, fridge with separate freezer section and all the crockery, glasses and cutlery for double the number of guests. The French doors and shutters throughout the property create a good breeze, so we never felt it too hot or stuffy. The pool is underneath the house, so on the cloudy/rainy days it was a good option for our son. We also had our dog and the large garden with chickens at the back and the built up fish pond were an entertainment for all of us. There is also a large TV, set up with Netflix and various movie channels for us non-French speakers. What we appreciated most was the hospitality of Mr and Mdm Girard. Their welcome and guide of the property and then fresh eggs and vegetables, along with the welcome gifts was a truly lovely gesture and made us all feel welcome. We would highly recommend this property and the owners in this lovely accommodation and the village of ver sur mer.

Good comms right throughout the booking process and then met on arrival by Herve and his Wife, everything explained in perfect English and a nice welcome pack. The House was lovely and everything we needed and wanted from it, nothing was missing, the Fish and Chickens were fascinating to watch and the Dozen fresh eggs given to us were lovely. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place to anyone, easy to find and perfect location for the D Day Beaches.

Amazing villa, close to D Day beaches.
Marie-Ghislane and Hervé were there to greet it us and show us around the very clean and spacious villa and explain the ins and outs of working things. Everything and more supplied to enhance your stay. Bedrooms were large-2 doubles with wardrobes and a twin room. Pool was clean and refreshing, lots of equipment to play with and also had a shower, toilet, changing rooms and small sun terrace outside. Small village within walking distance for all needs- butchery, bakery, tabaco shop with bar and convenience store selling fresh vegetables. Also another friendly bar/restaurant at the bottom of a small hill(food in evenings not available on all nights) meals and drinks reasonably priced. As for the villa it had 2 further sun terraces- 1 at the front of the property, which was lovely in the evenings watching the sun go down over the sea, the other large more private terrace, with sun beds, tables, chairs and swingseat had a retractable sun canopy which was great when the sun was intense. Situated in a great and very pretty area in which to explore and lovely towns within 10 minutes drive for good restaurants etc. Hosts were great and generous and left you to get on with your holiday unless you needed them. Couldn't recommend it more highly and will definately be returning.
