Love this hotel!
I have stayed at this hotel twice this year for business. It is conveniently located to food, CVS for any forgotten items, and close to main roads. It is clean, safe, and comfortable. I am very picky about hotels and I choose to stay here each time I need business accommodations in Waco.

No AC, Loud Spanish Music, & poorly trained Staff!
We've stayed at other Laquinta Hotels before. Usually they're a decent place to stay for a short trip; however, this location is simply poorly managed, the staff are insufficiently trained, the AIR CONDITIONER did not work and they only remedied the issue with a FAN. We were burning up the entire night. The front desk guy came to look at the AC and had no idea what he was doing and offered the fan and it was not even a fan but a loud carpet drying type. But it didn't start with the AC not working. When we checked in, we were never greeted. I literally stood in front of the check in guy for 12 minutes while he answered phones by himself at 3pm. Proper thing to go is to either greet the guest and tell them you'll be right with them OR place the call on hold and help the person standing right there in front of you. At breakfast, spanish music was blasted from the kitchen so loud you couldn't think. I would NOT recommend staying in a hot hotel with neglectful staff and where the only equipment that works is the kitchen radio.

Overall it was a nice stay and the beds were decent. Breakfast was pretty good. My only issue is The bathroom did not have any ventilation and it felt muggy and had a weird smell.

Issues with La Quinta
There was no one at the counter to check out and you had to leave your room key in a box. After we left the hotel we were overcharged by $30 and had to contact hotels.com. They couldn’t reach the hotel either and confirmed the $30 overcharge so we were given a $30 credit to use in our next hotel stay but not a refund. The pillows are extremely flat. Breakfast tables were dirty but food was good.
