I stayed at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC for just three nights, and it was a fantastic experience. As soon as I arrived, I set out to explore the city, and the hotel's prime location made it incredibly easy. It's located right in the heart of DC, just a 5-minute walk from the White House, which is only one or two blocks away. A 20-minute stroll from the hotel gets you to the Capitol, and there are plenty of transportation options nearby to take you anywhere in the city. The front desk staff were extremely attentive and kind, which I appreciated, especially since I’m Brazilian and live in the United States. I love it when people make an effort to communicate well. My first language is Portuguese and my second is Spanish, and all the receptionists I interacted with spoke to me in Spanish. One even gave "Portuñol" a try! It was a great personal touch that made me feel at home. I highly recommend this hotel, and I encourage anyone to visit Washington, DC — a city full of history and charm. The JW Marriott is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the best of the city. Thank you to the staff for making my short stay so enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back and will recommend this hotel to others!

I love this hotel, and this was my second time staying. I have no complaints about the hotel itself. My issue is that I was walking on the side of the hotel one afternoon and fell (because of the sidewalk and the sandals I was wearing). The only people close to me were a man and woman. I am in my 50's. Neither of the folks came to help me, just stared. I got up, and walked by them, making a joke about my new sandals (I was so embarrassed), and again, blank stares. In the fall I had broke my phone and scraped both my elbow and knee. The next day I was walking through the hotel and saw the man who had not even tried to help. He worked at the hotel. I asked who he was and was told he was the Concierge. I had been assisted by several of them, and they were always very friendly. This Concierge didn't know I was a patron of the hotel, but that shouldn't have mattered when you see an older person (or ANY person) fall. I saw him walking through the hotel several times after that, and each time was reminded of that embarrassing (and painful) moment, and how his look of disdain made it so much worse. Don't know if I will stay there again. Every other employee in that hotel was amazing.
