I booked this hotel because of the trendy decor and fun games in the lobby. However, the setup is a little too contemporary for my liking. The check-in counter is at the hotel bar, so you're checking into your room next to someone that may be ordering a cocktail.
The room itself was tiny. I got a king bed and it just fits in the room basically wall-to-wall to the point, that I didn't even have to get out the bed to open the blinds. The bed has no comforter, but only a thin blanket and the sheets were scratchy. My bed at home is more comfortable than that. The shower stall had grime in the corners and the water came out brown at first from the faucet.
The listing for the hotel advertised a free buffet breakfast, but when I went down for breakfast at 9am, there was only breakfast for purchase. The concierge blamed it on Expedia for having the wrong information about the breakfast service.
The rooftop restaurant, Lucha Rosa, was the best part by a little. They had a DJ the night I was there, so it was lively. The cocktails were tasty, but the food was bland.
The staff in the hotel seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else and it really didn't have a warm and inviting feeling. I booked because it had great reviews, but my experience didn't line up at all with others. I'm just really disappointed in my stay at this hotel.
