Our space is pet friendly with restrictions (please see rules or inquire). We have aircraft cable connected to trees with snap hooks so you can easily connect your dog's harness or collar. The local bylaw requires all dogs to be on leads or leashes outdoors. We also have poop bags in case you forget yours or run out. Our outdoor space also has a hammock for you to absorb the sun or take in the stars. Our BBQ is under a lit gazebo, and we provide an outdoor table with chairs. There is also a large bonfire pit with Muskoka chairs where you can enjoy a nice bonfire and make some smores; we also have marshmallow roasting sticks. A local burn ban is in effect; no burning before 7:00 PM.
We have several outdoor cameras around the property; these cameras are not monitored during your stay; there are motion-activated cameras on the trails bordering the property line. Our neighbours have cameras on their property.
We only use the cameras to check on the property during the winter, and when there are no guests, there is a blue indicator light when cameras are active (motion activated). If there is a flashing red light on the front of the camera, it indicates a low battery.
Locations of cameras:
All are mounted on trees
front of the trailer (facing toward the door area)
back of the trailer (facing towards driveway & well pump shed)
facing the snowmobile trail (facing towards the road)
facing towards the trailer from the entrance to the property facing the workshop
facing the generator (shed on the hill)
facing into the woods (no trespassing zone)
We want you to feel comfortable during your stay. So we have no problem letting you know where the cameras are. We have had several fallen trees over the years; one fell on the pergola and nearly hit the storage shelter, and another fell on the firepit this year.
