What a gem of a hotel, situated right on the harbour with views across the marina.the staff were all so friendly and helpful, happily going above and beyond to provide 'wows'. We only had a standard room, but, in line with the whole hotel, it was beautifully and quirkily furnished, clean and well appointed. So lovely also to be served a top quality breakfast, without self service at a buffet. Not cheap, but highly recommended. Overall probably the best hotel experience I have had! We have no plans to visit Ipswich again, but I'd love to be able to move this place around to wherever I plan to visit.

Hotel was fabulous and quirky with great staff, lovely food and located on the harbour, filled with beautiful million pound yachts. However, move away from the harbour and the surrounding area and town centre is the worst I've ever seen. Derelict buildings, unsavoury characters, vape, kebab and other undesirable shops.

I love staying here, its a beautiful hotel. Great views of the harbour, and walking distance to some bars & restaurants. This time i brought the dog, and they left a toy and bowl for him, which is such a cute touch. Highly recommend it

Amazing food with a view
From check in to check out all of the staff were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant, the food was amazing and it was a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. We had a marina view room which was large and beautifully decorated, very comfortable king size bed and large bathroom with gorgeous soaking tub and powerful shower. Would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend

Would highly recommend the Salthouse Harbour Hotel
Wow what a lovely hotel, staff so very welcoming and very helpful. Room was immaculately clean. We booked one night as we had tickets to see Fishermans Friends at the Regent Theatre. Was perfect walking distance. Great view of the waterfront from our window even though we were in a room on the side. Breakfast was really well cooked. Would highly recommend. We loved our stay here

Very comfortable spacious room. A little noisy from a busy neighbouring bar and loud passers by in the early hours! One criticism is lack of USB charging facilities - though reception were able to loan an adapter.

A great stay - lovely large room with stunning views & friendly service. We visited during storm Kathleen so it was very windy. Possibly the balcony doors need checking as the wind whistled through quite loudly - room 411. We ate in the restaurant - we had breakfast & Sunday roast - both of which were really good. Thank you!

We stayed here for one night over Easter break. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left was a wonderful experience! The staff were extremely helpful and the service was exceptional! We had the afternoon tea experience at Salthouse and the food selection was amazing. Even my fiancée who isn’t an afternoon tea person was impressed! If we didn’t already have dinner reservations elsewhere we would have happily booked dinner at the restaurant as the food was top notch. The room we had was just perfect for us. Spacious and comfy, with wonderful features of the building shown throughout. We would definitely be back again! Thanks again to the wonderful staff !
